this would be the list of shit you can put on your gear.

How about cure spell casting time -6% on your dalmatica, or crit rate +6% vs birds, etc? It's not random crap like yay str-2 on my hecatomb's cap.

My guess is most pieces will have 2 vs species and 1 magic skill to put in.

So in other words, everyone start farming scylds for the upcoming update because we're probably going to be getting more hunts to do that give us even more scylds to choose from.

Or who knows, maybe SE will be epic and give us weaponskill etches for the gear, in which case I see the prices of cursed gear skyrocketing.

So yeah, Im gonna go and stockpile some divine logs now kthxbye

Edit: and also the augment you put on your gear is 100%, there's no chance involved with the augment. The "chance" part of the system is how powerful of a evolith you get from your hunt or whatever you get the evolith from for this (my guess is either no new hunts or maybe some abyssea hunts, which would be cool) and even then the variety of evoliths you get from one hunt is generally a range from decent epic, generally the evoliths you want dont ever give you a "shit" one. Maybe you'll get one that is not as good as your current but for the first evolith you put on your gear, even crit rate+1% on a sword is not shit by any standard.

Level Synergy? No fucking thanks, on top of the fact if I'd want to augment old gear on my 3 chars, I'd need to have it leveled on all them, unless players can still synergize for others for this.

Was not synergy always about working together as a group for someones item or rather having some sucker with synergy lved work on your item?

Do not see a reason why they would change it now and someone can not synergy augment others. Not that it is hard to lv anyway.

Considering to date every Synergy Recipe could be done in group, I'm assuming these augments will remain the same. So you'd only technically need 1 Character with Leveled synergy.

God it sucks to level though Its Cheap-ish (Considering Fewell costs is the only real expended gil), but its slow -.-

Either way, I don't see why everyone is like "FK THIS LUL" when we don't even know what the variety of Augments we'll be seeing on them.

Could surprise us with some half Decent augment choices...

Another thing to consider is that Sky is going to become even more a fucking nightmare than it was at its peak if these augments end up being worthwhile. This time around everyone and their mothers will be soloing/duoing rather than opting for the alliance-farming method that most average players favoured in the past.

They said back when they released the picture it was just an example and didn't reflect what stats might be possible on release of the system.

If the augments are implemented, the equipment's statistics will be overwritten.
