Tidal Wave showed up in the log at :36 (which means they died earlier), and smacks the whm at :40, and was Chiblasted at :42. VNM mobs dont sit idle for a good 30 seconds before despawning, once that hate list is clear, it depops immedately. Seeing as how the WHM wasnt exactly doing anything (and seeing as how these people are ex-gilga and I know them and have had runins in abyssea with them), I'm pretty sure that WHM would have just died and Ogopogo would have gone "seeya suckers, I'll be keeping these Souls".

Pretty much, I mean we could have gave them the items but lets be honest here. They all should have at least had shell 5 and bar water up. They took fucking 5k damage all around. Not our fault they were bad. They could have at least had 1 person with MDT gear on to negate their own failure. Even if they had done this though they would have wiped. Its clear that none of them had buffs.

I'd have just taken it. maybe not if its just white, but deaggrod or if someone is there and is gonna start kiting and wasting my time - IE a whitemage.

however. this is a T3 VNM, deaggroing isnt an option.

It doesn't make you a good person. After all, you're criticizing other people for doing it as if it makes them terrible people, and that doesn't sound very "good," does it? This is a game -- in other words, a competition -- and you're trying to be successful. If the other team wins, then the other team wins. An upset doesn't make a game any less legitimate. By complaining about it, you're merely being a bitter spoilsport.

This in a nutshell. I've had it done to me where I've fucked up and lost claim to a mob so I expect it to happen to me. Truthfully we probably would have gave them the drops if they didn't start talking shit in say the instant Blazer killed it. They cussed us out in bad english and then starting talking shit in french.

After that I just said grats to Blazer on his 5 damage Chi Blast kill and moved on.

Not sure if this belongs here or in gimp/confused - probably both.

I was out camping Ovni, looking to finish my +2 rdm feet. This group shows up a few minutes before window - bleh, competition sucks, etc etc. Although.. they are just standing there and I figure they're scared of adds since it's night? Ovni pops, aggros me and I claim with Animated Flourish and pull it to the corner. After a couple of minutes, I get a blind invite from one of them, and promptly ignore it. Couple of minutes more, another blind invite. I ignore that too - wtf is wrong with people? Only reason I didn't have blockaid on, was because I was waiting for a friend to get there, he recently came back to the game and wanted belt should it drop. Then I finally get a tell, one of them asking me if I wanted belt, and since my friend was nowhere to be seen, I said no. Another invite, and this time I accept. During the fight their melees keep dying - I have no idea how since I had hate throughout the whole ordeal. But I kill it, and no drop (I call Shaolin Belt only, a no drop).

Turned out my friend had arrived there while I was fighting. Now, one of these other guys apparently thought they saw my friend speed hacking, and threatened to GM him if he didn't leave. He keeps threatening my friend, then he starts going on about how he will GM me if my friend doesn't make me leave too. I send this guy a tell, asking wtf is wrong with him, but get no reply.

Now, people that know me, know that I very very very rarely get involved in /say or /shout drama. In fact, I have /say filtered out. But this guys stupid threats annoyed me enough to turn /say filter off:

I left after that. Not proud of myself for starting arguing in /say, but goddamnit they pissed me off! And yes, I know there were more spelling errors in that one sentence I corrected.

I would have probably done the same. Given them the drops if they were polite and not nasty after they wiped and we got claim. I've done that in the past for people. Usually even the polite people are really shocked that they get the drops after they wipe and we claim/kill. And generally quite grateful.
