Wasting a brew on a KI mob is pretty dumb, especially one as squishy as Heqet. I don't see the point of using one, even if I could proc red on it solo then brew, what's the urgency? The KI's are loadable in chests now, if you seriously, desperately need that 1 KI, go farm it. Go grab a healer and duo/trio it. This isn't like finding a yellow Sobek or Orthrus or body seal NM or whatever.

Cruor isn't hard to farm but that doesn't make it any less wasteful on such an easy and squishy mob.

Yes, He's an Idiot. He could have waited. I don't think he even needs seals from it so the only reason he'd be claiming is for the KI. Hell we're done with Crion so that raises even more questions....

Logs got fucked up due to triple boxing, dunno how to fix that from happening, missed a good chunk in the third tell log later blisted cause was just irritating to try and follow whatever he was saying with half of it disappearing and trying to triple box pulls and cures :3

No pics, that in itself is a fail, but just got a fresh one. Our plan was to pop and brew Rani to try to get some rings. We get red for those who need atma, then we get blue, after going through every staff WS. Brewer uses Amnesia screen/brew, tank then hits CFH instead of disengage. Was very annoying.

Went to Altepa tonight to pop some Orthrus for my 90 GA and ended up with a night of entertainment.

First up, during our second Orthrus pop, we notice an exceptionally geared Samurai complete with his Dancer SJ pop a brew and attempt to take down Orthrus.

Next up we have a PLD, WAR and WHM attempting to brew Orthrus. In this series of pictures, we will learn what not to do when brewing Orthrus (not that brewing Orthrus is acceptable in the first place).



PLD popped brew and managed to proc blue. He then proceeded to use assortment of weapon skills that are particularly useless against this NM. As expected, his brew runs out. However, a potential hero emerges as the WHM leaves the area and returns minutes later just as the PLD starts to go down!

I was out of range in the following SS so had to get the timestamp from a friend, hence the discrepancy in time between WS'es and brew.



Our would-be hero was in shock and confused and thus after popping his brew, chased after the nearby JP group's Orthrus instead of his own party's!



Mistakes happen, but at least our hero learned from the mistake of his fallen PLD and proceeded to use Earth Crusher to fell the great beast...or did he?



He did not.

Needless to say, this was the end result:
