12 years old seems ridiculously young to start the game to me. Not that it's inappropriate for age for the content idunno, when I was 12 I was waiting for N64 to come out.. it's just a trip

Agreed. This thread suddenly made me feel old, and I'm not even out of my 20s yet. It's amazing the difference a few years can make. Even in suburbia, I don't recall home PCs being too prevalent when I was 12. At that age, my friends and I were busy biking around the neighborhoods, playing/exploring in the woods, and playing basketball and football. I didn't even own my own PC until college.
