So we were BLU burning Miserable Coast orborns last night for gold chests, sticking pop items for Cep-Kamuy in bazaar for 1gil to keep people happy - group shows up to do Cep... start bugging us to farm time for them. We were very nice and polite (well apart from hubby trying to pretend he didn't speak any English or Japanese to get them to leave us alone - resulting in various "Me Tarzan You Jane" attempts at talking to the "foreigner" which we were having a good laugh about). So they take the hint and try to farm their own time... think they were BLM WHM THF or something like that - and proceed to full-wipe to Jala. They then start on the NM... full-wipe to him... try again and again - then leave as they'd obviously ran out of time. Reenter, repeat with similar numbers of wipes - time out again and come back again with job changes to continue wiping to mini-fishy.
Kept us amused most of the evening tbh.
Not to add fire to stupidity, but taking a force spawned NM after a full wipe is pretty much the same as taking it if people are dying and it's yellowing. The only difference is the length of yellow and recover time. The mob is not any more "free" to you when it idles because it was never free to begin with.
That said, if something is yellow and I need it, I will be casting on it because whomever was unable to keep their mob red obviously needed help.
I usually wait for them to completely die, if I start seeing the apoc spam I take it. If I'm getting tired of waiting, I take it. If that group somehow pissed me off prior, I take it. If I don't like someone or the LS in the group, I take it.
Basically I take it. I expect it done to me and idc.
The only exception to this is multi-brewing NM's, in which case I think it's bullshit if you take it and I wouldn't do that even if any or all prior statements were true.
I disagree, we all obviously have varying opinions on it. The pic was meant to be funny, move on.
Let's just say that as big an asshole as I have been to people and still am I haven't done that yet...because I don't want it done to me. I also never multi pop with others around, so I'm not exactly trusting that it won't happen. I have watched others do it and not taken those mobs, so yeah.
If I take a mob, I wait til full wipe. Never had to deal with VNM's personally, but that might be different idk. I've lost mobs that we hadnt wiped to yet (hello2uOldHNMCamps) and done it to others, but now a days, I wait til full wipe, and depending on the mob, offer up whatever seals/items/gear I didn't need. (Like if i needed RDM seals, and it dropped SAM or THF or something)
TTK has made you soft, Cayl. Not only are you suppose to take it at first sign of yellow, but you're suppose to rub their faces in it by telling them it dropped everything they needed and how you're letting it hit the floor for shits and giggles.
One thing to certainly not do when you wipe and lose a mob is start cussing people out.
Asking courteously if they wouldn't mind splitting the drops somehow you're much more likely to not turn shit into a retarded madfest. This only really applies to popped mobs of course, since the wipe-ees put in the effort to obtain the pop it's reasonable that they have at least some right to the drops. If they say no? dealwithit.jpg
Timed spawn mobs? Yellow is fair game, one's personal definition of "fair" varies with their level of jerk-ness.
It went yellow briefly because the 1 person meleeing at the time died while they still had a THF standing by? High jerk level. (ie. they had people alive, unweak, and capable of continuing the fight)
It went yellow because everyone was dead or weak constantly RRing? Lower jerk level. (ie. the zombie apocalypse*)
*I'm taking credit for coining that term

Was duo camping Count Raum with my girlfriend to get her AA last week. She pulled and linked three Satellite Daggers and we wipe (she was excited and there was another Bst lurking nearby). Bst comes by and immediately takes Count and she gets angry/disappointed and walks out of the room to cool off. I sent the Bst a polite /tell asking him if he could possibly let her get the AA if they dropped and he didn't need.
She came back in a few minutes later and she had the armlets in her inventory.
So ya: if you fuck up and wipe: dealwithit.jpg. But being a douchebag crybaby in say/tell gives you zero chance of actually having someone show any you kindness. Believe it or not, there still are some nice people playing out there.
Went to pop Skuld solo and um...

A WHM came to help about 80% in.

I agree fully about the wipe and attitudes thing, but some times it seems like people do things intentionally to piss each other off in this game. My biggest thing is zero responses. I asked a pretty simple and straight forward question, I'm awaiting a response.... Nothing. Just say No. It's 100000x less rude to just say "no" then it is to ignore someone.
"Hey, do you by chance need <item> if it drops?" "Yes, we do, sorry" I'm gone, I'm not pissed and I forgot about it already.
My friends and I popped an Alfard and wiped pretty bad pretty quick. (Tail swipe kept punting us too far so he'd spin). Felt bad because my friend really wants that GAxe. Anyway another group to the side grabs it and brews it after they get their yellow!!, but they waited for it to go idle so it lost the blue!! that we proc'd, and they tell her she can have the axe if it drops, but it didn't. No worries. We go off to get another pop set and come across a group that's 2x WHM and a THF killing Afard. One WHM is 3% HP because of a Wivre is beating on him. I get it off and kill it, hoping that my white-knight'ish attitude may net my friend the axe. Suddenly I'm getting smug emotes "XXX looks at you disgustedly" and no responses to me asking if they need the axe. I've probably never raged so hard in my life. Makes me wish I left that damned wivre on him to die.
I just spent 49 minutes getting (attempted) mkp againsts me over an ironclad smiter by an 18+ member ls. I have a screenshot or two in theory near the end but I wish I'd taken more mid fight so badly.
Edit: meh nothing good in screenshots. no misc Kujatenders and chariots walking over thier dead bodies and whatnot.
Spoiler: show
So I was getting stuff done for my Kannagi after a long time, due to mostly being lazy and events getting canceled and whatnot. I counted, recounted, and checked again, was sure I was at 29/50. I got 21 helms today, yay I'm all happy. Turns out:

I died a little inside, especially since we had one pop left that dropped one helm that I gave to someone in the shell.
Sounds like you need some mofuckan magian spectacles.
Or more fingers and toes.
