Not sure if this belonged in WTF or Random Fail, but I'm out at Castle O doing my last OPs after Otakon/Distant Worlds and I shit you not there is a line formed of roughly a dozen different groups waiting to take turns entering. Of course, I don't give a fuck since these are mostly all JP groups and this would never ever happen in Abyssea, but I was still agog.

Edit: Just got told to get in line by an english player and when I said that wasn't happening, I got called a stupid ragnarokan.

Double edit: Another guy just tried to cure-skip us entering. Mmm, when did XI turn into a game where we form orderly lines?

I had an exp party with Zillion, shortly after the first Abyssea came out, in Tahrongi Canyon vs Pachypodiums (before people realized Tahrongi Canyon is terrible for exp parties). About an hour in he disappeared from camp; I checked the map and noticed that he was clear up by Chukwa's spawn point. We asked him what he was doing there and got no response at all, so we told him if he's trying to afk leech he's doing it wrong and booted him.

The next day I had another exp party with him in La Theine Plateau and not long in, he made his way to Tahrongi Canyon again and stopped responding to anything anybody said to him. This was before Horst I think, so it took some effort for him to leave La Theine to go (presumably) camp Chukwa by himself in the middle of an exp party. He never said anything to the effect of "brb, turtles" at any point in either party. I never checked his gear either time because I never actually saw him at the exp camp. Pretty sure he was anon both times.

So yeah, I'm gonna vote for "still stupid".

@plucking wing lines: You really think that's bad? Odin has lines with 30+ people (and a ton of people standing off to the sides, easily 80+ in the zone,) and that was near the end of JP time. Can't even imagine how fucking shitty it was during the middle of it. I personally just cut every single time, because the one time I tried to do abyssea during JP time (I had 600+ minutes so I decided to sleep inside tahrongi...) they kept sleepgaing and blizzagaing the mobs I was trying to cleave, and none of them had any manners at all, so fuck that shit, I'm not waiting in a stupid line.

I love it when people bitch about Ruby Lights. I've joined a few Bird Exp pts as Rng and I often 1 shot them. The leaders freak out on me and I just respond with "So...you want me to leech then?"

I really wish people would learn about lights. The moment I hear anyone start shouting about Ruby I leave the party. I've seen the parties where the leader kicked anyone that would WS kill (accident or otherwise) and had the exp be 250 a kill for about an hour before I couldn't take it anymore. I think we had like 25k exp that whole hour. Including the dom ops turn ins.
