Ramin Mehmanparast - Iran's foreign ministry spokesman

US and their allies have no more excuse to deploy forces in the Middle East under pretext of fighting terrorism.

not sure if troll... reminds me of the tards on my friends list saying they couldn't have gotten DNA test results back yet, since "those things take weeks!" I guess Obama really wanted to know who the daddy is.

Rush Limbaugh congratulating Obama on taking out Osama Bin Laden may be the most shocking part of this entire event.

"Thank God for President Obama" lolol

Who the hell are you to jump to such a conclusion about me? Jesus, get the fuck out with that ridiculous claim. My fucking brother is in the Air Force & I have countless friends in the Army, Marines, & USAF. Not that it even matters though.

If you cannot understand why OSAMA BIN LADEN, the most wanted man on the planet, who could ignite a shit ton of violence against the US, was quickly dealt with, then you really need to open up your mind, remove yourself/bias from a situation and think like a leader should.

Edit: I feel like I'm being trolled, except I've seen you post before so I'm inclined to think you are not.

Wasn't the entire thing sarcasm? I keep seeing this brought up as if it was serious and shocking.

There's an interesting reaction from Robert Fisk in this list, especially in regards to how the revolutions in the Middle East affected aQ as opposed to this.

10 years later isn't anything close to "quick", however, his painless bullet to the head was, but that isn't what I would call sweet justice.

Technically 18 years (since the first world trade center bombing in the 90s)

I know you're not this stupid. contextualizing is really hard.

You're right, we should throw out our own rule of law & beliefs in human rights because he was a murdering piece of shit. That isn't exactly what the ideology he espoused would love for us to do or anything...

Compromising your own beliefs because you were wronged is clearly the logical thing to do.

Actually if you read the whole article, he was being completely sarcastic.

In actuality he was attempting to get people to think that Obama claimed sole responsibility for Bin Ladin's death, and was criticizing him under that false claim.

He's still just as idiotic as ever.

They would've found something to complain about regardless. There is absolutely nothing, up to and including flying his ass to the outskirts of Mecca and pointing his head at the city, that would've made conservative clerics happy.

What makes this MFin' Tango any better than the men and women who have lost their lives to taking his? RIDICULOUS!
There's a not-insignificant part of me that thinks "proper burial at sea" is trying-to-pacify-the-extremists code for "we booted his ass out the back of the chopper on the way home".

I hold out vain hope that someday Rush will fail to disappoint. Not that I'm a paragon of faith in humanity, but I'd like to think buried in that massive mound of disgusting fail is a tiny shred of decent humanity.

It's not like Obama was even taking credit for anything beyond authorizing the strike, which is exactly what any sitting president would do. He was much more gracious about the whole situation than Dubya (or Rush himself, had it occurred during the previous administration) would have been.

Yep, it's sad. It was a very well-done, respectful, and composed speech that was just about as far from the self-promoting who-ha most presidents have exhibited in the past as it gets. Anyone who actually listens to the speech, and understands English, would really have to stretch the truth to accuse him of attempting to claim sole responsibility.

was hoping so, after reading it and seeing the responses I thought I was getting woosh'd really hard.

Unrelated, here's a neat time-line collection of the live-blogging that's been mentioned: http://tweetlibrary.com/damon/osamaraidlivetweets - The article it was linked from has those and 2 other sources mentioning the event: http://eu.techcrunch.com/2011/05/02/...-on-bin-laden/

psh, need to add more posts to this thread fool. Something like, if he was really dead they would have a video of the bombing/head shot?

I would love to see that!
