i dont know why osama alive is actually considered a conspiracy theory.

there is 0 reason to just dump his body in the ocean and no past precedence for it. I don't think it really matters, because we either have him or he's dead, but it's really not that implausible.

Yeah that makes sense, though I'm not sure about "zero reason" depending on whether the excuse for not wanting a shrine is plausible or not. I guess it just seems crazy at face value when considering the risk of him not being dead after the announcement along with trying to separate out what actually makes sense with what the crowd associated with skepticism in regards to Obama is saying.

A lot of parts are confusing for me, like trying to separate out the appreciation for the moment because of what it means for people, and NY in particular, and the cynicism for what it meant overall compared to the cost and the actual effects when everyone's on a good-feelings high that feels a little perverted.

Attempting to bury him according to Muslim religion isn't a decent reason?

It's a conspiracy theory because a bunch of people would have to participate in an elaborate lie.

Being a conspiracy theory doesn't make something automatically false, it just means there are would have to be a lot of planning and lying for it to be true.

I don't really think it's a risk - if people found at he was alive but under our control, I really wouldn't forsee a big backlash. That's my own speculation, though.

6 of America's best and most trusted soldiers + a few randoms + the highest ups in the government. It's not a huge number of people at all. And when have we ever cared about muslim burials before.

Where do people keep getting this idea from? Go look it up, the Quran says nothing about sea burials. They're only done when the person actually dies at sea and it isn't prudent to take the body back. Muslims bury their dead in graves like most other religions...

I'm pretty sure that by "according to Muslim religion" he is referring to the fact that he was "buried" within 24 hours of his death.

I'm no Muslim authority but I've never heard of 24 hours before either, always just heard it was to be done as soon as reasonably possible but you may be right
