Are you retarded? There's a million. The best were "all your base" and "This is madness/sparta". I don't remember if there was a over 9000 though.

Pretty sure there was some fucked up event they had only once with a big ass moogle running around inside starting cities (actually inside town), and there was some npc in the event that would shout "omg its over 9000" approximately. Can't remember it very clearly though, my memory sucks.

Toadal Recall, for one... Theres a lot more ,I think "Come into my parlor" is a reference to something. NM"Flytrap" jug pet is a reference to the Little Shop of Horrors.

Theres a buttload. in a WoTG Cutscene an Orc says "All your Jeuno are belong to us" iirc.

Probably cause no one really reads in MMOs or rather in FF11 since they are all fluff and don't contain any clues to the battle. Match a word to the BC and get to the meat of it.

I enjoyed reading those a lot. Its quite a delightful feeling to see them play with words that way. That to me is the beauty of language.

I'd rather have this than something like:

Oh, one of the worst is the long text cutscene they have before mission battles that can potentially cut into the BC's time, especially when there is that one person that just gotta read the fluff and holds the group up....

You're actually right there. They're kinda more wordy than they are in English and mostly descriptive, tho they might also draw on different references to lore and such. For eg, Better Than One (Cerb assault) was titled Heracles Assault.

Bloody Rondo on the other hand, was the one that was named Hellsing Assault lol.

In that sense, we get more flavor from our quest names and all.

I know the HQ hedgehog pie... porcupine pie? Said something about "serve this up at any gathering, and it will be gone faster than you can say, 'sonic.'" or something, think it's a Sonic the hedgehog reference.
