Not sure, but he has been in jail before (season 4) so his prints are on file.

Yes it was a hit and run, 2 cops and the guy confronted him in the parking garage. Dexter smacked the cell phone out of the guys hands then he got arrested.

I know there has been a lot of talk lately about Dexter not being as careful in his methods (which certainly seems true). One thing I did notice last night though was that in one scene, Dexter received a phone call on a different cell phone. When he received the call from Kenney (tooth fairy) he picked up a flip open cell phone. When he shows Kenney a picture of his victim, it is done on what looks to be an iphone or smart phone.

He said he went through Dexter's records while he was alone in his car. I havent looked at my papers in a while, and its possible they're different in the states, but do those contain your phone numbers? I believe he said he looked up Dexter's credentials also after.

If so, Kenney made the mistake of calling Dexter's actual cell phone, and Dex just didnt notice, which falls in line of being less careful.

He's no longer able to give all his attention to his Dark Passenger now that he has a family/Harrison. Essentially, he's spiraling out of control. No one has been picking up on the themes and underlying tones recently? I guess people need things force fed to them now to figure everything out.

That's exactly what I've been thinking, and I believe the reason for that is so that Deb can find him in the act.

There's a difference between thematic meaning and just sloppy points. They're entirely ignoring legitimately confusing events and symbolism isn't always a good answer.

Just in this past episode,

he got into a car accident, smothered a guy and then carried him back into a populated apartment complex

and that's supposed to be simply accepted because it was at night? That seems pretty messy overall and I'm guessing nothing will come of it despite the visible marks the guy had from it.

I'm fairly sure he smothered him in his apartment complex. He was sitting in a recliner when he got smothered.
