Really? Is there an interview with this? I'd be interested in reading it.

Yeah, that's honestly pretty awesome. Not even the director knew, lol.

The timing of things in this episode bugged me, particularly when it came to the victim being offed. Somehow we're supposed to believe Travis stopped the elevator, ran up how many floors, at least knocked out the guy, hid his body in a way Dexter couldn't track the blood or estimate how long it'd been there (especially without someone else noticing if it was earlier in the night), ran back to the elevator to pry the door, somehow make it back to the campus after being left at the hotel to make an elaborate kill when it's doubtful he has a car or late night buses, and then set up his little message for himself.

I dunno, part of me wants to feel like Gellar was alive initially, but at some point maybe Travis offed him during the killing spree. Just a bit too convenient to have him locked up in the basement freezer. Full time dark passenger just isn't something I'm wanting to accept with what's been presented throughout the season.

    Spoiler: show
I honestly never thought there was reason to doubt Gellar based on how they shot everything until I read it on BG. I think from episode 3 onwards I was looking out for clues in every scene and could see both being true. But this episode had me really believing in Gellar because like other people said, the timing on the kill was odd to me (as well as Dexter taking so long to set up and getting caught as a result), and I guess that's the only thing I didn't like. Otherwise, love how this story is shaping up, especially with all the other characters.

Until the previously on dexter... started (seriously fuck those spoilers, i need to start skipping that shit), i saw absolutely no reason to think geller was not actually part of it. I cannot even begin to imagine how someone sees a waitress ignore him, and then conclude he's not real. It seems like they set it up just well enough so that people cannot look back and clearly see that he must exist (or not..), and that's it. It doesn't really make much sense. And the scene mentioned before, at the school. There is absolutely no way travis possibly could have done all that. Just getting up the stairs, pulling an axe out of his ass, and getting the door open for dexter is unbelievable enough. How could he have also stopped the elevator, gotten to whatshisface, knocked him out, and hid him, all in about a minute? That is not even possible by himself.

The reason that the scenes such as the waitress scene were done so well to where you couldn't really decide if he was real or not is because the director had no idea that Gellar wasn't real, only the actor playing him, Michael C. Hall, and the writers knew. Pretty amazing in my opinion.

Oh? Well that could explain why it was done so terribly.

the waitress scene reminds me of the same scene in the sixth sense.

it seems like the characters on this show go through phases ranging from csi genius to chief wiggum and back without any real reason except thats what the plot calls for. or they just go invisible when convenient, like the new black cop

the audience knows dexter is a ninja assassin .. don't make him drive up somewhere and scream "hey im here"

also, the reason dexter wants to help travis, that he told his dad, is because he wants to be a better father to his son? what?

Oh the laughs I had with this episode. Quinn and his hook-up was hilarious, though I don't like that he and Angel have to have mid-life crises' at the same time. Then there was the dramatic reveal of Gellar in the freezer, that shit was too funny.

So they're winding up the main storyline and introducing the storylines for next season eh? Or maybe some of them will be resolved by the end of this season. I just hope that the new tech guy is just a collector and not a new killer.

I also want Dexter the show to go back to killing random people without all the 'missions' to kill one man. Let the police solve some bloody cases for once.

Harrison was bathed in blood as a child. Dexter is worried about his son becoming afflicted with the same problems as him. Dexter's father simply refocused his 'dark passenger' instead of cleansing it- what Dexter is trying to do now for Travis.

I'm actually rather worried about this. The way I see it is, Matthews gets caught and fired, then LaGuerta gets promoted and we have a whole new shitstorm of LaGuerta vs Deb. Can't she just die already?

LaGuerta and Matthews get canned, Deb gets promoted and finds out about Dexter in the same episode, boom.
