I give this season a decent rating. 4 > 1 > 2 > 6 > 3 > 5 is my personal opinion.

Yeah I though this was a pretty good season, I'd slot it right behind seasons 1 and 4 personally.
2 was better than this, the writing really is getting pretty shoddy. next season seems promising though
4 > 1 > 2 > 6 > 5 > 3
I gotta go with Arvin's ratings. Season 5 pissed me off to no end, I don't even remember it. At least season 3 had that rooftop scene.
I think the average season 5 episode was better than the average season 6 episode. Though the overall content of season 6 is better than season 5. I did like Lumen though and wish she would have come back, maybe should have had Travis kill her as the whore or something to up the ante with Dexter. Really think they could've made it better like that.
While Masuka is always hilarious, the scene didn't make any sense. Dexter didn't have time to set up the scene like that to begin with, and when they don't find ejaculate anywhere they'll know that Masuka's theory was plain wrong. But the writers pretended it was tied up in a neat little bow anyway.
That's the kind of thing that happened constantly in season 5, and why it pissed me off. Nothing was ever fleshed out.
There'd still have traces of it. To keep from going into detail, at bare minimum it would be on their hands or underwear. Also their pants should be down.
It's a funny scene, and if it had no significance on the plot I'd be more then happy to take it at face value as nothing more then a joke. But it was a major scene in the season, and they blew it off with a pretty lame excuse.
Silly?? How?? They found the kill tools used by the BHB that they thought were Doakes, and now here Dexter is stabbing Travis in the Chest with the same kind of set of kill tools... 1 + 1 = 2
I would say the exact opposite, if she doesn't figure out he is the BHB it would seem a little silly.
Huh? How does this intern dude even know the hot chick?? That would be rather random and stupid imo. Intern dude wasn't even in the class, he wasn't picked until after they fired the hot chick who replaced the fat dude that feinted.. Not sure where Masuka said he got him from, but he wasn't in the class, so not sure how he would of known her.
I thought they all were in the same class. My bad
I honestly don't think the intern is a killer or will be a killer. I don't think he knows Dexter is the BHB or a killer at all. I do however think that since he is so in "love" with Dexter he has done research on him and his background and was able to find out (just like Deb did) that the ITK was Dexter's brother. Then as a "fuck you" to Dexter for shitting all over him and his video game he sent him the hand to screw with him and to cause him pain. Dexter works in the lab, and just like everyone else in that department knows what that hand is and where it came from. I personally don't think it is him somehow magically knowing about the barbie doll hand that the ITK put in his freezer or anything else. It was just a simple fuck you for shitting all over my idea. Just my opinion.
No, it wasn't. When he thanked Dexter for his feedback he said "You've inspired me to get out there and do rather than emulate" paraphrasing. He is obviously going to be a big deal next season.
Heh, no not really at all what he said... Yeah if he said that, we would have reason to believe he is going to go out and kill people, but he said "I just wanted to thank you for being so honest with me about my video game. You just made me realize that I have spent my whole life on the sidelines playing make believe games, and now I want to get out there and make my life count for something." (Shouldn't quote wrong information)
Sorry, I just don't take that as "Hey I'm going to go out and kill people in real life now instead of make them on video games." I just think it would be silly for them to go that route with him and really want to think they are not going to take his character there, but who knows... I just really don't think it will go that way and have a feeling people are just over reacting to this guy like everyone did with the old Nanny. Just my opinion, but only time will tell I guess...
Louis wouldn't have sent Dexter the hand specially if he didn't know that Dexter was tied to the Ice Truck Killer in some way. His obsession with Dexter has a very real possibility of turning him into a killer, if for no other reason then to get Dexter's attention. He's going to be a big deal next season.
Except it doesn't even make sense. How does that cause pain to a lab geek? It's just another piece of evidence. Dexter didn't even know it was missing.
With all due respect, because I realize it's all speculation and opinion, I'm flabbergasted that you can't see what's between the lines with him saying "I just wanted to thank you for being so honest with me about my video game. You just made me realize that I have spent my whole life on the sidelines playing make believe games, and now I want to get out there and make my life count for something," when the video game in question is one where you are a serial killer.
The lines he drew on the prosthetic hand represent the heart, head, life, fate, and fame lines in palmistry, and there is, guaranteed, more significance in drawing those lines than simply drawing them for the sake of it.
I refuse to believe that Louis is not going to be an important character in the next season. Absolutely refuse!
