Saw this on pitchfork today, I'm excited if it's true. Thought Mos Def was pretty good on House, even if half of his character's time was in a coma. Also looking forward to seeing Colin Hanks since he doesn't seem to get many roles that last.

The Showtime show "Dexter" has now run for five seasons, and the character Dexter Morgan still hasn't run out of serial killers to serial kill in the greater Miami area. Now Billboard reports that boho-rap god Mos Def will join the show's constantly shifting cast in its sixth season.

According to Billboard, Mos will play "a hardened ex-con who claims to have found religion yet seems to continually find himself surrounded by violence," and Dexter will show "who he really is." Given the sort of show this is, Mos' character isn't all that likely to survive into season seven. Season six will also star Colin Hanks as a villain. Production begins in June, and the show could hit the air in fall.

On the heels of both Mos Def and Colin Hanks joining Dexter: Season 6 comes the news that Dexter will be getting a new nanny.

TVLine.com is reporting that Off the Map/Trauma star Aimee Garcia will play "Jamie, the new nanny Dex hires to care for his son Harrison." What happened to Sonya, the Irish nanny from last season? Are we supposed to care?

Jamie, as it turns out, is also Batista's (David Zayas) younger sister.

I liked Lumen but it was the rest of S5 I couldn't stand. It would have been at least "okay" in my book if they hadn't ended it the way they did. Made it feel like you could watch ~3 episodes and skip the rest of the season.

I just rewatched s5 last weekend (basically skipped the first 3-4 eps, until lumen, and lots of fast forward at times). Lumen really was the most interesting part of s5, the best shocker I could ask for would be for her to came back for s6, but shows get ruined when the main secret is known by most of the main characters.

You guys gotta stop bumping this thread, True Blood hasn't even started and Dex comes AFTER that; ;
