Like I said I got 4 choices

1) declaw it

2) not declaw and get expelled for not following the rules of the building

3 ) not declaw and go in court for not following the rules.

4) Give away the cat to someone who will take care of it properly and get a different cat when your living situation is more suitable to animals


And I'm not exaggerating guy from same block just lost in court and had to pay 2000$ for not respecting the block rules

So I will pay the 300 and get it declaw.


Anyway the question was about training it not if it's immoral to get it declaw,

ftfy, go with choice 4. Seriously if you want a cat THAT bad go adopt one from a shelter that is already declawed. Don't make an animal miserable on purpose because you "want a kitten" or some BS like that. Guess what? Kittens grow up too! There are so many amazing cats at the shelter (I know, I adopted one) that you can find one who fits your lifestyle and kittens in general are adopted much faster than adult cats.

Ok, with that comment, you should not be owning an animal. I have two dogs which most people here know from the pet thread and they are by no means JUST dogs. They are my family. If you ask anyone that post in that thread you should not get a pet if you consider any animal JUST a [insert type of pet].

I'm not against declawing as long as you don't let your cat out of the apartment, or the house if you upgrade your living situation. Personally I would have recommended just not getting a cat because of your situation, but you've gone past that point already.

Ok me and my girlfriend got our first kitten like last week

We think we got her too early (she is 5 weeks old)

We plan to get her operated (sp) and cut her claws when she hits 10 weeks


The problem we have is that she bites a lot

I understand that kitten bites to play, but it's starting to annoy me.

She jumps on the couch then jumps on me and starts biting me on the arms or on my cloths

When I sleep, she likes to jump onthe bed and bite me a bit.

She likes to bite my girlfriend on the fingers too.


I tried pinching her on the nose like the vet told me and telling her no but it docent work.

Any other trick?

Sup bro! Okay, first off. Don't be a pussy. It's a fucking kitten. My hands are littered with scars from my pets. Is wittle baby scawed of getting his handds huwt? You can research online for non-kill shelters in your area. I didn't say any of that, I have a family friend who lives on a farm that adopted a declawed cat and he does just fine sleeping in a damn barn for half the year. Go back and re-read if you don't believe me. I don't know why you feel compelled to make threads like this only to act the way you do, you're not really getting any valuable information from it and it makes you look like a fool.

well you should give it to someone who actually wants a fucking cat, instead of maiming it.

This is exactly what you should do.. give the cat to someone who is actually ready to care for a cat or move to another apartment.
