I would also download different versions of FF4 if you can find different ones - There's a chance one of them may work where as yours won't. I'll be reading this thread to keep updated in hopes you get it working.

EDIT: I just realized this is not a psp game converted -- So I am out of ideas because I never got them to work. Granted I only tried once.

Upon reading number 4: I have no idea what you are experiencing... I never had problems moving files around myself.

Re: different versions of the game, I've got two different .iso's and had no luck with either. But I'm reading that on older cfw's, you had to manually patch the game yourself using a decryption program on the PSP, then re-pack it into an .iso using UMDGen. I am not sure, but it sounds like with newer cfw's, you don't need to do anything to the .iso.

(And don't worry about the transfer issue, I'll figure it out.)

Grab the latest 6.20 pro-b#, the latest seems to be #10. (There's also a "fixed" version that has some fixes, I guess)

What you want to do:

Install the official sony firmware 6.20 onto your psp. You will need to grab this online, and transfer it to your psp.
Install the 6.20 pro-b# firmware.
Install the permanent patch (if you want).

This newer firmware, unlike old ones, is only temporary. As in, you turn off your psp, it's gone. You boot up, you have to reload the CFW. This is mostly because of newer PSPs, that aren't fully "hackable". Now, the permanent patch will basically make it permanent, just like the older cfw's. It will work on the 1000 series for sure.

No need to do any game patching or anything to run games.

If he already has a 1000 PSP with custom firmware, just download the new CFW, put it in the game folder of the memory stick and run the update! Just make sure you get the CFW (permanent) and not the LCFW (the temporary one)

Personally, I use the ME CFWs. Played FF Type-0 without patches.

Wow, what a pain in the ass. The firmware on this thing was 3.4 something. I had to flash it with literally 10 different versions to bring it up to 6.20. I bricked it once, but managed to save it somehow. Egads~

Did you get it working? When I said it was done a long time ago, I meant it. 2007? THat's when I was with that ex anyway. I'm so sorry lol, I just never bothered with it.
