What scans are for bro!

ya, I like to own things and I want Marvel to continue making things. Especially things without Spider-Man and Wolverine in every damn issue.

I buy a retarded amount of graphic novels but honestly read most of my weekly stuff thru torrents.

Justifying piracy yadda yadda, but when I end up buying all of Blackest Night or Cosmic Marvel crossovers in the hardcover formats, I figure the companies are still winning out in the end.

I organized my scans collection last week, roughly 4300 comics, and probably own around half of them in some paper form. Especially in this brave new post PC era (herp derp) having scans is so much more convenient, I keep a few hundred d on my tablet at any given time.

DC is getting it right now with their releases being same day digital, but the price is still high for something that has no chance of going up in value compared to the paper format.

well, the problem with collections is some series don't even last that long. Alpha Flight changed from a mini series to an ongoing series because the first couple issues did well. I guess sales dropped and now it is cancelled. A lot of the books I like most aren't the top selling, specifically New Mutants, X-23, and X-Factor.

As for digital, even if they were a dollar less than print, I'd prolly switch over. I actually love the comixology app, and use it from time to time to read free stuff.

Stuff I bought and read today

Really didn't want to like Wolverine and the X-Men. The whole premise seemed rather silly. That being said, it was funny and really enjoyable.

Cloak & Dagger, I love Cloak and Dagger. I really wish they could sustain a monthly or even bi-monthly book. Sadly, it would prolly just get cancelled like all the fringe characters I enjoy.

New Mutants was ok. Glad the whole Fear Itself tie-in is over, even if it prolly helped boost sales. I always enjoy Hela, at least. My biggest problem is that Marvel cheaps on the bindings of its smaller properties. Really annoyed me today, for whatever reason

Wolverine & the Xmen was great. So many interesting characters on the campus. Hickman continues to amaze me with FF & The Ultimates. New Hulk #1 was kinda meh but Silvestri is still amazing, I missed his art so much.

wolverine and the xmen was pretty good but i fucking loved the class list at the end. i thought it was gonna be cheesy but some of them were funny as hell.

Secret Avengers by Warren Ellis is really good. I love when writers incorporate Marvel history into their stories like Hickman is doing with FF. Ellis is doing the same with Secret Avengers. Latest issue he has Beast touch on the multiverse and the negative zone in the most fascinating way I've ever read them explained.

The Brood is an alien race that infests other races. That particular one was from the recent Astonishing arc.

Also, Hellion is a jerk. X-23 needs to stab him more.
