The last 10 minutes of the show were epic. Hopefully next season is back to the basics and back to the books (or closer to them). Great way to end the season, no doubt!

No way next season will follow the books... they may even follow the book less next season and just start w/ their own stories. Next book is basically Jason turning into a were-panther (well that would of happened this season) and somebody hunting / killing shifters / were's / were-panthers. I mean they can still follow it, but all they did for next season was set up all the side stories, aside Russell Edgington stuff which looks like it will prolly be the main story of that season.

They drastically changed so much of the book this season that they already tossed out book 6 storyline since those main characters are already dead. That I think it's in his best interest to just use the characters from the book but make up his own story's now.

And please say tara stays dead. I don't think they can save her, I mean 1/2 of her face was blown off

There is no way Tara can come back unless Sookie's fairy powers include buckshot removal and restoration. Tara staying dead makes sense as they can keep her in the show through Lafayette seeing as how he is a medium.
