Maybe it's just my imagination but it seems like they are making Jessica out to be some kind of special more powerful vampire? Probably all in my head..

And yah, I watched the last episode of S3 before I started S4 to catch up and remember everything. Oh and if you just end up downloading the episodes, Kat.. then technically you can get episode 3 next week.. so you won't be one week without watching an episode. Isn't that how HBO Go or whatever works? Next week we get to see Episode 3 while everyone else is still on 2?

Oh and I found a bunch of shots of episode 4... looks very interesting. Here is a pic of Pam I'll spoiler.

    Spoiler: show
http://skarsgardfans.com/wp-content/...tbs4-03pam.jpg She looks kind of helpless/scared/whatever.. not use to seeing that look on poor Pam's face. Guessing it'll have to do with Eric's memory loss or whatever. She is in Sookie's house after Sookie brings Eric back.

Naw Jak, it is a one time deal. "Watch Episode 2 right after 1 airs on HBO Go!" They don't do that with all of them, only a select episode (so far). They did that with 1 episode of Game of Thrones as well, will probably do it with one episode of Boardwalk Empire too. They just want to boost HBO Go sign up/usage/awareness, but they aren't going to do it for all of the season.

if you want a spoiler you didn't ask for:

    Spoiler: show
Obviously the whole issue w/ Eric losing his memory is gonna transpire 100% differently from the books, but they are setting the situation up to be the same where the only know who knows Eric is hiding at Sookie's place is Pam.. and I think Jason (been a while)

Kind of amused at how I figured they would use less filler since this season is only 10 episodes.. yet it seems like most of this season will be filler >.>; Though the Jason stuff, while mixed in w/ tons of filler, is happening much sooner then in the books.

dunno if the trend is new but they do this for holiday weekends, GoT did it for memorial day

What are we calling "filler"? Most of the last two episodes involved major plot advancement. It's pretty clear he's deviating largely from the books, but that doesn't make it . . . filler. Just different.

Not really sure why everyone is surprised about him getting away from the books, being as Allan said in quite a few interviews he was not going to be following the books very much and would be adding his own touch. Its not like it is anything new, it has been going on from the very start. Lafayette is still alive, Jessica is a new character, and many more things that was not in the book.

Everyone is calling stuff that was not in the book "filler" which I don't agree with, but whatever. I don't think much really has been filler, just like you said, it is just the many different plots advancing.

Filler to me is when you're, say, in the bar with a main character.. and they cut to two gossiping chicks that aren't part of the storyline but sort of add to it. Make sense? Like Hoyt's mom in the first couple of seasons. They would cut to her all gossipy and shit.. where it adds to the story but it wasn't necessary. That is what I consider filler.. /shrug

What I consider strong filler is stuff like the bar scene w/Sam and Tommy.. wtf point did that serve aside showing, to my dismay, that Tommy is still a character in the show. And them showing Hoyt's Mom.. gtfo lol.

Also the stuff w/ Sheriff... blanking on his name and the V addiction.

They also showed Bill as he buried him calling someone using Eric's phone, pretending to be Eric and telling whoever it was to kill Pam. Obviously didn't work.

Er, what? That was a maaaaaaaajor development... Tommy survived the gunshot (which we didn't even know if actually hit him before), "found God," and moved in with Hoyt's crazy uberreligious mom and was living as basically a replacement Hoyt.

Definitely agree, even stuff as simple as the fact that she was occasionally getting the upper hand vs Bill when training when she's literally like a 1 year old has implied there's something quite special.

I kind of like the way the season started actually. The year lapse kind of gave the show a chance to freshen up the characters a bit. My only big disappointment is that Tommy is still there.

I'm confused as to where you guys are getting the "10 episodes". I saw it mentioned early in the discussion, but every article I've read indicate this season is 12 episodes, most recently in an interview with Alan Ball on Comcast's news pages, done right after the season premiere. (I can't post links, I don't post enough. lol )

I've been a fan of True Blood since it started, and I haven't read the books. My first thought after seeing the first episode, was they have a lot of explaining to do. After watching the second episode, I'm hoping that each episode might answer some of the questions. My biggest fear is going through this whole season with unanswered questions that started with the first episode.

Yeah, she even says the name of the guy and that she had to kill him cuz he was trying to kill her.

    It's been said it's only 10 episodes..

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...Blood_episodes

It's listed as 12 there, but only 10 are given. They may have given it more episodes but it was originally planned for only 10. I forgot where I first heard it, think it was some article. But if its really 12 episodes I'll be happy
