Why does this guy get to post here?

They really should bump it up to 70+ for a number of reasons:

- Most DD jobs can't even hit anything below 70, even in the Visions areas.
- You level up far too quickly, and then have a massive skill-deficit to make up for.
- You also don't learn the ins and outs of your respective jobs, and thus we wind up with a bunch of people running around at level 90 with no clue how to properly play their roles to the fullest and/or wearing garbage equipment.
- Finally, newer players will just speed through missing all the wonderful content that we used to enjoy way back when.

For those of us like myself who've been playing for a very long time (I started in Dec 2003) it's not a big deal if we burn through to the top - Just one less hassle after 8 years of the old dev team's nonsense. But it robs the newbies of that crucial experience, learning about the game etc. etc. I personally find it takes away from the experience, just racing to 90 ASAP and then clearing all the story with little to no trouble as a result.

There's no rush, it's not a race here folks - the newbies should slow it down a bit and actually enjoy the game. Otherwise you might get burned out on it very quickly.

As a player that has come to understand some of the many challenges that confront SE on a daily basis, I've become highly tolerant of certain cosmetic and topical adjustment needs that have appeared throughout our beloved FFXI through the years.

I'm tempted to give a player's concept rendition a shot as a preemptive step based on the possibility that the Dev team could actually want player feedback on the menu's design. ^^

Pffft. BST 58-90 in Attowha on Cockatrice! I was hitting around level 62 with some help (for 0 more often than not, mind you), but I kept my axe skills capped!

And yeah, I got bored soloing. ;; Clearly all that time spent realllllly helps when you can't charm a dang thing in Abyssea. Where's that "learning the job" shtick now? I learned something I don't use. >.>

Maybe this was said on one of the previous pages but I didn't really bother to read through them. XD If a ZNM goes unclaimed and claimed by another outside of your pt if you go within a certain range of that ZNM it will turn red and become your NM again. (This happened 3x in a row with cheese hoarder one particular day) It was pretty awesome and I don't see why that would be a bad system to put in place for other such pop NMs. The coding for it is already there it seems like it would be a simple adjustment in a version update.

Oooooh I found this gem, have to post it here lol.

On the 7th day Akujima made a thread about how missions are too easy and level 30s should not be able to breeze through them. The dev team, ever vigilant of his concerns, acted swiftly with an emergency update that placed all mission related notorious monsters at level 110.

Akujima, never satisfied with the possibility that level 30s MIGHT be able to beat said missions by leeching their way through, proposed said NMs would have aoe abilities with a BCNM-wide range, and that if you were dead at the end of a mission, you didn't get the win, similar to Atma.

Some brave level 30s did manage to leech their way through said bcnms with the use of well-timed reraise items. The dev team banned them per Akujima's instruction.

Akujima, still not satisfied, was tired of lvl 50s leeching their way through genkai 1. How dare they not farm their own items in a 50 cap alliance?!

I wish I was able to spam the like button on this post. It's absolutely brilliant. :D
