Ok, this should be my 5th warning today. Still no temp ban.

Give THF a targetable Enmity Douse-like /ja. Make it short recast, like 60 seconds. In today's game it has to be pretty low recast to matter. None of this 'steal's target pt members blah blah blah' shit.

Make Trick Attack transfer some portion of the THF's enmity to the TA'ed character instead of being just that one attack's enmity. Have this enmity go beyond the cap.

Give THF an Att bonus job trait(s). THF has pitiful attack. DNC gets Acc Bonus traits, give THF the equivalent Att Bonus, at least. An A+ in Dagger wouldn't hurt, either.

Make SA and TA angles more forgiving. Being 'front half/back half' wouldn't be that bad. Nobody can line this stuff up with the way the game is right now.

Make THF the king of Critical Attack Bonus.

edit - Make TH more effective based on the number of support related buffs a THF has. [Removed by Moderator according to the FINAL FANTASY XI FORUM Guidelines.] If you are going to invite a THF for TH you may as well force the *** inviting them to make the THF more useful than some *** random DD that doesn't have a clue.

For a good month or two, I managed to get away with excessive profanity as long as I didn't direct it at SE or a specific person. I never got an email or temp ban over profanity.

My only(?) temp ban came from the melee RDM thread. At one point during the course of normal conversation, Seriha - out of left field - accused me of stalking her. Because I had the gall to be on the forums at the same time as her. I snapped:

"Wanna know what I find unattractive? Overly-emotional and dimwitted people who rant without thinking. Your mentality is flimsy and transparent to everyone with a critical eye."

There was more to the rant, but yeah, essentially calling someone a dumb twat will get you banned - from 2AM to 5AM.

It's one thing to have a constructive argument about a subject, or even just poke fun at some of the retarded things you see on OF. Reminds me a bit of what Alla has turned into. But there is some truth that some BGers too go overboard whether they are right or wrong. So many have reported in this thread things like "I lost it" or "I blew up". Why go to a forum where you get angry?

It was a bit of a run-on inspired by my own lack of sleep, yeah.

But from what I've seen of the RDM wars, it's basically been opinion against opinion. Instead of one of them trying to say 2 + 2 = 5 or something you could actually put your foot down on, it's more like a collective reflection of personal experiences and bitter egos sick of each other.

I don't quite get that; If RDM being subpar frontline damage and parses proving it are "opinion" I don't know what to believe in anymore. Then there's that retard arguing with Byrth that HE is the one playing Dancer wrong because she uses all of her steps and abilities just fine and eyeballing it she's just as capable because she plays for FUN maybe you've heard of it.

As for the "I blew up" sort of responses, I'd wager it's more exaggeration and akin to watching really trashy reality TV or something. There's some joy to seeing a colossal trainwreck.

Was talking more on the opinions of why such should or shouldn't be improved. For the pro, it's justification that things need help. For the naysayers, it's fodder that things couldn't possibly be salvaged and that it'd just be a waste of dev time. Hell, that whole incident began on a level 75-based "80%" opinion from someone not even the older RDMs trusted. Anyone with a brain knew what was going to happen at 90 with how much growth other DDs have received.

1) It's pure spectacle - a spectacle that's so funny and so tragic that it's the subject of two threads and 200+ pages of discussion and disbelief.

2) Unfortunately, SE poses questions and makes decisions based off the discussions among that pack of inbred, tranquilized hyenas. The FFXI playerbase needs someone who knows what the fuck they're doing to post there. And we can only hope that SE can pull the diamonds out of the piles of shit.

God damn man, you got a lot of pent up aggression. I get what you are saying though. Look at my post count and join date and see that I lurk more then post obviously. On alla, I have close to 700 posts. I haven't posted there in a long time because whenever I'd post something logical, like it seems you have done in Rdm forums, a band of retards would come together to do the typical: our $12/we have fun/you're elitist song and dance. I started getting angry. Not because I wanted to be right, as it's not about WHO is right it's about WHAT is right. So I stopped going to alla and stuck with BG. Same with ffxiah.com forums mostly. I only look at OF here to get the lulz from you guys.
