Yeah, I have my Xbox and laptop updated too, but I use those in different locations of the house. I can't think of anyone I've ever known to put dedicated home consoles on totally different TVs and then buy the same games for them, you know? It'd be like putting an Xbox next to your desktop and using it with your monitor instead of just playing on your computer.

I used to post on KI under the ruse of a galka - usually for shits and giggles (not trolling, just being goofy)...

It was typically full of misspellings, rants, and laughing hysterically at stupid things...

Probably because her and her group of followers that think math/absolute facts/spelling/punctuation/gear swaps/ruby light/non meleeing RDM/etc is the devil report anything and everything that they don't agree with, or because we're "trolling" them.

I melee'ed rdm, and it is not all that hard to do. First off your auto attack is still active when you cast. And at times your casting anime is over ridden with an attack. Second red mage is a light damage class much like thief. RDM do not need to dish out huge damage, they do more for the part then just dmg. And people lost the umderstanding of basic rpg things. Personally speaking, I had no issues with my buffing, debuffing, refreshing while melee. Just gotta keep up with a routine. As for the resists, well honestly even with the best gear resist can happen. I people forgot what it meant to play a video game, no one has any right to change how a person plays. As long as you work as a team (no matter the playstyle) you can get stuff done. teamwork is not forcing people a certain way it is using your strangths to over come others weaknesses. Rdm is about being versitile. not a backline batterery.

You melee while casting, guys.

Guess Analhelm continued to be mad last night and reported all my posts as I got an email with about 5~8 posts that were directed at him that had been deleted lol. That easier payment thread was another goldmine for stupidity for anyone who missed the Rosina one.

Server transfers are a tool though. "Pay $25, move as many or as few characters you want to wherever you want to put them." The 3 month limitation and single-directionality ensures that people using it for inter-server trading will have to pay for two accounts if they want a timely return on their investment. It also makes sure that people won't frivolously server hop whenever they have a fight with their egf/whatever.

Somehow the above is my first post worthy of modification. Analhelm must have made something pretty dramatic up to get anything out of that.

@Lyall - Almost trapped me into replying to the RDM melee thread again. Much as I wanna tear Rosina down, I don't think my brain can take that much abuse. My RDM melees situationally (fear my /DNC, Twilight Dagger and 600 damage Eviscerations in Dynamis!) but that thread would eat me alive if I got near it. Besides, if I'm going to melee somewhat pointlessly, my BRD has a better melee kit overall, mostly with access to Byakko legs and Shai'ir Manteel for an extra 7% haste. Toss on /WHM for haste, double marches, and stab/bludgeon things to death. >.>

@Byrth - you called something a tool! Depending on context, our great Anahelm could see it as insulting! OMG that has to be particularly insulting to SE, calling their money-making server transfer ability a tool! He was clearly doing them a great service by reporting such a slanderous post! Yep, definitely a lost cause:

I would suggest to clean the guide up a bit to make it easier to understand and remove the spoilers. Also had videos to SHOW gear swaping AND that other macro targeting s9o those can see it actually works. Actions speak louder then words. If you can edit the title, If you wanna help try to be less condencending.

Some of the replies though are pretty rude if not false. And some make my wonder why people take this game super seriously.

Pro tip: if you wanna make a guide, understand what the guide is for, who the guide is for. And for what type of product. Game guides should be a fun read. Not electronic instrustions, like the old joke comment of vcrs.

to be honest I never did any of this stuff mentioned hear, and I never had a problem. Typically as dnc I out cure the whms/ healers in the party. It really is all about fast reflexes but also lag can play a role.

Also there is a difference between being "good" and over complicating things.

Anyway as I stated decent guide. Thank for writing it.

1) Make it easier to understand and clean it up, but remove the spoiler tags condensing things to make it more jumbled.
2) Also, make a video showing you blinking once.
3) Some of the replies saying "Thank you!" and "Good job!" and talking about controller vs. keyboard are pretty rude if not FALSE.
4) Understand who the guide is for, despite me saying it is hard to understand and my being easily the most simple minded on this forum
5) MAKE IT FUN DAMMIT
6) I outhealed White Mages on my dancer without gearswaps or target macros
7) Macros don't make you good, SKILL DOES, though lag can play a role.
8 ) Nice try on your guide. I won't use it (I don't have an ego but I'm just good enough to not need gear swaps) but smiley face!
