That aside - they have 20 lvl 90 jobs and less than half the amount of merits I have with only 12 lvl 90 jobs. I'm hoping they just haven't updated their merits on FFXIAH..... I can hope, right? Right??

I just did the same check: I only have 7 and I've almost got twice as many merits as him, too. This is also with me doing mostly NMs and not having ever joined an EXP alliance outside of drunkenly winning a parse on my paladin over Christmas. I've been capped on merits for months and months, I debated dragging up more jobs just to feel like I had something to spend them on.

To pull back a little bit, I think the biggest problem that players like that have is that they have no clue what happens after level cap. For fuck's sake, I've got most of a beastmaster set and a dancer set +1 WHILE I'M IN A SHELL WITH DANCERS AND BEASTMASTERS. I only lot stuff to keep it from flooring and after everyone else with the job leveled has their share of it, AND we run with a dozen~ people, and I've STILL got gearsets for jobs I don't even have past 70.

Uh, to digress: If retards write off killing NMs and basically doing anything EXCEPT gaining EXP, then yes, people are going to become anally retentive about anyone rubbing up on their sphere. When you only know how to do one thing, it's easy to delude yourself into thinking you know how to do it best.

Apparently before Abyssea there was a wealth of content to do before level 75, and by raising the cap to 90 those all become completely destroyed.

I cannot for the life of me think of anything I did without being 75, not counting forced level caps on missions. No one ever says "Hey, let's go fight Shadow Lord at level 50, for old time's sake!" to their shell when looking for something to do.

Unsurprisingly, Panthera completely ignored everything about their jobs, AH profile and merits. Zyr(something)us tried to point out that those are manually changed and could therefor be inaccurate, but...

That means Panthera WILLINGLY dropped merits into Madrigal, or at least claimed to.
