And there you go wish, Leonlionheart is talking about NIN tanking INSIDE abyssea, when you are clearly talking about NIN tanking at 75, and outside abyssea post 90.

He also doesn't seem to grasp sarcasm.
That's not really unusual though, I mean, granted I pretty much advertise that I'm a female in my avatar/sig on a lot of forums but somehow people still mistake me for male, so it's not shocking that someone who doesn't make it obvious would be mistaken for a guy on a regular basis, too.
And it isn't like Starcade's all concerned with things like facts and logic.
I'm potentially a girl in that post, but I suppose my name earns that when shortened at least. I sound like some kind of a hyper-rabid feminist rights activist.
I don't understand why it's remotely surprising that we'd want our version of the rules and our values to be the official rules and the official values. The fact that he clings to atypical moral codes and values, assuming the "norm" is somehow abhorrent, is what gets him into trouble. You don't have to march to the same beat, but you can't march to a different beat and then try to arrest everyone else.
Ahahahahah at the Starcade Blog post. That fucker is infuckingsane. I am so glad that guy wasn't/isn't on my Server. I love how he thinks the Japanese are the only ones who don't "cheat". Thanks for posting that link. I know what I'll be reading all day!!
I don't understand why Starcade hates mandragoras so much. My mandragora in my taskbar is always like "oh hi I increase your game resolution and make everything look much much better with the ability to customize!"
"1) Theinen: "He's going to suicide-bomb VanaFest 2011."
Why would I want to hurt what few honorable players might be left (read: greater chance of that being the Japanese)?
2) Head Shithead Isladar: "If the Official Forums are really "BlueGartr Lite", as he's stated, then you are all my precious little bunnies and I heart you."
Effectively admitting that the desired result is BG dominance over FFXI.
3) I need to find the quote, but someone basically said that the statement about the $12.95 only getting you log-on rights, and that you had no rights to see the game rules enforced (and all of their results) could come from a simple 10-minute reading of the ToS.
In that case, they basically are saying that the social structure of the players runs the game.
Forget the GMs at that point, player bannings should be on the basis of player petitions.
And what of the Salvage bans? What had to happen to get that done??"
I'm #1!!!!!!!!!
Whenever I hear "You're #1" all I can think of is

The man is mentally ill; this isn't speculation. Lulz are all well and good but I'm not sure there's anything of value to be gained by pointing out the weird logical leaps of a schizophrenic.
Probably dating myself a bit here but we might as well be looking for lessons and insight in Kurt Cobain's suicide.
Hey, why don't you not be undisplayed on FFXIAH, cause you know you're as gimp as that other person?
STARCADE:
IF YOU'RE READING BG I WANT YOU TO SEE THIS
JPs outpopped a guy I know who was using all seeing to pop abyssea NMs, meaning they were cheating too, just wanted you to know.
The part I really don't get, is why he thinks his ideas would work? Like, ok... Let's hypothetically say SE decided to hire Starcade as their lead consultant, and gave him complete authority to change FFXI however he saw fit. And lets say he manages to successfully turn the game into exactly what he thinks it should be (those 5 bulleted items in his blog post being examples of changes he'd make).
Most likely, so many people would quit (or be banned) that there wouldn't be enough subscribers left to pay for the upkeep of one server, let alone 16. And even if SE did feel like keeping the game running, in the red, is it really an MMO when there's only like 6 people that still play?
Even if I were to totally agree with Starcade, and completely take his side, I would still have to realize and admit that the game simply could not survive once those changes were made.
I went to Konschtat to check recent reports that Gangly Gean had changed from a lotto NM to a timed. When I got there, the PH wasn't up, but I eventually found it when it repopped. As soon as I found it, I watched a JP THF flee over and kill only that sapling, afk until it repopped, and then claim Gangly Gean. He knew exactly which Treant(s) were the PH, which means he:
1) .dat modded the name probably
2) Used some kind of program that let him essentially get widescan on Thief/Ninja.
Man, it's a good thing JPs don't cheat!
I think it would be more accurate to say that JPs as a population look down on cheating more as a sign of weakness, while many of them still use third party tools. Think of the BG Forum's Attitude towards botting before Taj's list came out. We had a lot of self-righteous assholes that generally scorned third party program usage, though they paid for it themselves.
Why bother? I don't have an Empyrean.
If I were to display my character, you would see a Dancer with a DA Parazonium, a +2 hat, +1 everything else. FFXI is a game I play on my laptop while my fiancee watches shitty TV. When the shitty TV goes off, so does FFXI. If you're hoping to find anything on my character I wasn't capable of soloing in random, unscheduled 1-2 hour spurts with maybe a bit more on Sunday afternoons, I can tell you right now you'd be disappointed.
That said, I don't need to bind up my schedule with a pocket WHM to know that somebody complaining about being unable to cap enmity while tanking and complaining about capping enmity all the time with Innin in the same paragraph is somebody at whom I should be throwing rocks~
He wasnt even complaining about capping enmity with Innin, he was stating its pointless because its really not doing anything to lower your enmity gain.
Sometimes, when I read Starcade's blog, I am reminded of that scene in Weeds where Nancy and her friends are sitting on the patio discussing their drug business plans. BG--specifically those of BG who read and contribute to this thread--being Nancy and her friends. Meanwhile, Starcade is Celia. We're basically the FF11 mafia, making our plans and doing business. I am most sad that I am not included as one of the mafioso of that thread.
Also, I have a girl in my avatar, talk about my husband on a regular basis, and I still get deemed a guy. Even in FF11 with a female model playing with my husband, talking about doing various girly things in real life, I still get called out as a guy.
That just means you are butch.
No females on the internet.
