yes srsly.. the people who advocate melee smn are so taken in by the illusion of melee smn viability in Abyssea... but somehow dont realize how far it falls behind melees in the same situation

Jesus tap dancing zombie peep christ @ that thread.
@ Aurara - it was one of the ones linked here. I'll look casually when I get home, but it was someone butthurt about people soloing in Abyssea that has now turned 10+ people into exactly what they where bitching about. Hell, if anything now I wish I still had account #3, I could destroy anything in abyssea.
Edit: Looking for it and up to page 9, superior settings. iirc it was before Memorial day, who knows. I'm glad I'm looking back though, starcade is 42? Seriously, that's not a troll? Jesus take the wheel.
Edit at below - God dammit I almost died chocking on a cookie while laughing. Thanks for that.
Edit the third: Can't find it. It was before the 28th, I think I just saw it there it wasn't linked here. It was during the whole amazing Starcade part.
Wow. I only skimmed the thread ... but wow.
My sleepy mind is still greatly amused by the 'BG spies' line, so hey, screenshot!
Spoiler: show
"Yeah, if you play SMN like that, I'd make you my March ho too."
EDIT: I stumbled upon a video that's a pretty solid metaphor for the Official Forums:
Warning: NSFW Language.
That Analhelm dude is absolutely dead set on turning every job into the same thing.
I can't believe I just read almost all of that thread...
And seriously: soloing Ovni turns into a "POIDH!"? You gotta be shitting me.
I love how Analhelm or w/e his name is completely ignores all requests for SS of his epic Smn melee dmg.
And now we have Dallas doing a complete backpedal on the earlier statement of SMN losing in spike damage but doing more total.
I think the bigger fail is in saying Twash does more damage then Ukon.
But ya, BG spies! theys everywhere! SSing your fail and posting it here.
Quoting for massive amounts of self-pwnage, lol
Edit: As a hint, a comparison between Twashtar Bard, Ukon WAR, and Hrmlol Summoner purely in terms of DPS may not qualify as serious. In fact, it may be so incredibly outlandish that it highlights the stupidity of ever comparing things purely in terms of DPS.
In short, you apparently trolled yourself, because I sure as shit wasn't intending anyone to take that seriously.
God these people are so good at completely missing the point. YES, we want people to assimilate, INTO PEOPLE WHO KNOW HOW TO PLAY THE GODDAMN GAME. That's it. No one is saying they need to start using third-party programs or seeking out gimps to make fun of (not that they're hard to find, seriously), just learn how to fucking play. Shit.
...I do...
Does this make me a bad person?
Actually, I don't make fun of them to their face generally, but my husband and I laugh at them in the privacy of our own home.
I suppose we are bad people.
(I'm not above helping them get better, but they generally refuse to listen because they take any kind of help as an insult on their playing skills.)
Has Craftermath been brought back from the dead?
Check out this post and the post above it:

Think he deliberated on his single sentence response for over 15 minutes?
Zerging is an exploit
HURP A FUCKING DERP.
It honestly makes me sad to have Smn leveled because of these people. The "Logic" behind their thought process is just so fucking stupid.
Correct me if I'm wrong but they were referring to the weapon's Damage Per Second rating (which is a retarded way to argue who does the most damage but I digress) and somehow twisting that into an argument that Smn was a viable melee DD. Or that's how I understood it. Totally ignoring WS damage for ODD procs is pretty retarded too.
So I'm watching Katy Perry's Last Friday night video and I see Debbie Gibson in the credits. All I could think of during the whole video was Starcade.
