Nothing more needs to be said about Katz's poor arguments on the ToS and lotting, but I laughed hard when I saw Tammers hooked him right away with her thread.

Well, in all fairness I made it as a response to him closing his own thread. Although I've seen it happen before, and also mentioned it in another thread on the official forum that I don't think regular forum users should have that option. But I got annoyed because I saw his thread when it was a couple of pages long, started reading it, became preoccupied in game, and when I got back to the thread it was locked without me getting a chance at saying my piece. Yes, I could have started a new thread continuing the debate, but I didn't feel like it. And I don't see why we should have to, just because the OP gets butthurt/tries to save face.

Oh, I agree completely with all your points, and I also didn't intend my comment to sound like you were intentionally trolling him. I just laughed at seeing him jump headfirst into your thread right away. hehe

I can't wait for July 1st/2nd to roll around. Some post in the Random Fail thread suddenly reawakened my desire to play, and besides, July will be hot as hell anyways. Might as well enjoy a little FFXI for a month or two. I miss my cat.

I kinda like the face and the colouring in Kingfury's new sig. Agree that the body posture is somewhat... off, for lack of a better word.

As for Bumbeen - it's either someone who supports my thread, trying to prove to others how pointless/annoying the "close thread" option for forum members is - or it's just someone trolling.

Of course, he would defend linkshell leaders being the ones to give drops out. I can't even begin to imagine the drama that would cause. Like you say, there aren't many linkshells without any kind of favouritism. It's just human nature.

Yes mobs TP gain is useless, cure VI etc. Not to mention that 98% of the crap dies before getting TP and the other 2% is basically bewed. Only BG noobs try to min/max abyssea right now.

I honestly do not see the problem with a linkshell leader being able to distribute drops at an event. Through whatever system you are using, they are already doing that in some form or another. If you are using a DKP or points system, then generally a linkshell leader has a list of points, and informs who can lot and who can't. This is often a handful of people, and in a lot of cases, only one person. Any system or lack of system relies on this in some way. The only problem that I see this solving is that someone would be incapable of the classic ninja lot, but at this point in the game, that is almost a non-issue. Who does anything important outside of a close group of friends anyway? If you're pugging and the threat of ninja lot is present, it's likely not on anything that's worth a shit.

Yes though, Katz is an idiot in his suggestion that there is no such thing as ninja lotting, and I really doubt he gets much support for his "free lot" distribution system.

The latest kingfury sig doesn't look bad for once but it's marred by the distinct impression that I've seen that pose on a chun li pic. Also proportions are off unless he's been stylistically been off on his proportions for the last few months,
