I decided to do some research on the video. Fucking shit, three mouse clicks and a paragraph's worth of reading was fucking hard.

After many seconds, I learned that the video was posted by SquareEnix on their Youtube channel, so yes Tsukino, it's an actual link to the actual video released by the company that created it.

I'm a little scared that it's Japan's 89th most subscribed channel. Doesn't show much hope for the future of FFXIV if SE think people actually like the game.

Wow, the Balrogg from Lord of the Rings has really gone downhill since the first movie.

Is it just me, or have they just made a FFXI-2 with XIV? Maybe it's just my limited experience with the game (being all of that 1 video) but it doesn't appear as if they changed much aside from how it looks.

Nah, there's quite a few differences as it stands, but there's also a complete overhaul of the battle system coming, so after that, who knows? Though it's funny reading about how auto-attack is turning it in XI-2.

That wasn't what I meant, unless there's some conversation elsewhere that I'm not reading.

I just mean from the stuff I've seen the game itself doesn't seem that far off from FFXI. Now that it appears they are take pages from the FFXI gameplay book, we'll see what the future brings for FFXIV. Again, I'm not completely in the loop when it comes to XIV.

I've started adding people that don't seem to make any contributions to my ignore list. I hate doing that on a forum, but some people really deserve the mute button.

Alukat, Ravenmore, Dallas, Akujima, Hordecore, and . . . Malacite again. None of them have contributed positively to any conversation that I've seen. Ravenmore writes better than the rest, which is a plus, but he's an idiot and I'm not sure a single thread has benefited from his input yet. I'd filter that Kaji guy if I could remember how to spell his name for 30 seconds.

It's fun breaking down Hyrist's seemingly well-written posts. He has Seriha's talent for masking and propagating the typical Alla bullshit. They both can make the most ridiculous points sound innocuous if one isn't reading closely. Their posts fall apart when broken down into a bullet-point format.

Because you know, you wouldn't still want to stack melee gear on top of the bonuses from Gain-Dex and Gain-Str to make yourself the best RDM Melee possible.
