According to this guy, shock and bio are 2 spells (but not the only ones) you can't claim with in abyssea. Now I know bio works, and why you would even try to claim with shock is beyond me.

It makes me facepalm and laugh at the same time how my character is suddenly among the most viewed for Asura on FFXIAH every time I make a few posts, followed by the rating down of every comment on my profile page.

In the shout linkshells I grab on my bard alt the leaders always, always believe that casting a DOT early in the fight will hold claim on the mob forever and ever. Then when it doesn't they go ballistic and believe the group that stole the mob (usually because the pink MNK/DNC tank has died) is hacking and threatens to GM them in mega-says/shouts. I've seen it happen a few times now, always the same thing. Then as we watch the other team killing the mob I try to explain to them that DOTs don't actually hold claim on mobs and that's usually when I have my pearl broken.

ya I saw that, it's completely retarded.I want to keep posting because I definitely don't want SE thinking that a majority of the people want to raise the cap. But it's a headache knowing they are only thinking of themselves.
