All Hydras drop the Fortune Parchments. The drop rate is pretty crappy, I honestly couldn't tell you if one group had a better drop rate than others though. TH will help, but you can get very unlucky, kill speed is the most important factor for trying to get 5 of them.

Are you sure about this? I've never seen the tough hydras drop fortune parchments. The tough hydras seem to only drop the pop item for the hydra NM(s?). Only the easy prey hydras drop the fortune parchments from my experience.

When we tried to get pops for Gobblefap for Gorion's Aegis we did the tough and easy Hydras. Both dropped them, but the tough ones dropped the pop items for the new hydras a lot more often than the parchments. I know that we got at least two Despot's Fortune Parchments off of the tough Hydras. Eventually we said screw it and tried the EP ones which was probably better because you can just kill them so much faster.

i understand that you can convert unwanted currency into gil, and then buy what you need, but takes extra time, effort and most importantly, i'll need to deal with COMPETITION!! in JA proc time.... which is exactly what i'm trying to avoid, a soloer will always loose in terms of claims to others-.-

It can be hit or miss, but the last 1k currency I did was in qufim. If you go all the way to behemoths dominion there are snolls and diremites for bronze and shells. I didn't see another living soul up there because its so far out of the way. For byne time I would kill the 3 rocs with /ja stagger then kill a couple diremites with ws stagger. Even when there were 8-12 in zone it was completely empty up there. May want to check it out. Way better than trying to magic proc something imo.

Seriously. Also, now that every beastmaster in the game is farming dynamis, I've gone back to "yellow is yellow". You have 2+ on you, you can only keep one claimed at a time, I'm taking your other one, procced or not.

To be fair, I did have that happen last night, and the first bst I took one off of was actually fairly cool about it. I just hate dragons aery dynamis. =/

That try and camp on top of you when you are out in the middle of no where, far away from the common camp, and the only group in the zone farming with maybe 2 other solo BST in the zone.

So, two friends and I who recently returned to the game after 7 years with new chars have been going through all the dyna clears and finished Beaucedine yesterday, planning on hitting up Xarcabard for some relic/currency farm later today. Where have people had the best luck farming with ja procs? We're planning on going as thf/dnc/whm (our whm's only other current option is blm). Any tips or suggestions would be welcome, thanks!

Had this same shit happen to me last saturday in Dynamis - Qufim; was one of the rare as hell moments where the zone was empty save for I and a bst and instead of using any of the open available camps, he decided to camp on top of me and fight me for mobs >.>.

Not saying anyone in this thread is guilty of this, but when you have so many people bragging about the currency they get and sell it's no wonder you get so many Bst in dynamis now. And I agree about the camping on top of. It's ridiculous. I'm not a racist, I'll extend the hate to all jobs. 3 stories. To preface, my group is always 2 bst/dnc and thf/dnc.

My group was at EP raptors in qufim. A solo blu tried sleeping 6 or 7 of them. Our thief promptly AE'd them and we went to work on them. Shortly after a solo Dnc and 2 solo Bst showed up. It then turned into the claim game and to see how many we could keep claimed.

In Xarc we went in with 0 in zone. Cleared time extensions and went to the middle ish of the map to work on the cluster of mostly JA/WS mobs. A group of 6 entered and camped right on top of us. They attempted to mpk us once. Obviously it turned into mpk/claim game.

Yesterday in Bubu we enter with 0. 2 groups follow us in so of course everyone is getting time extensions. My friend gets a /tell telling her to /tell the Bst in our group (me, other went dnc/- to try white to quit trying to mpk his group with orcs. We hadn't been near orcs yet. One in our group was on the way to get the TE towards the OP and saw a monk/dnc and what looked like them training the orcs. So, because there is a Bst, it's automatically their fault or their the problem.

My friend and I tend to go either BST/DNCx2 or BST/DNC + DNC/X. Usually we're pretty cool about camping on top of people and vice-versa, but maybe it's just because Valefor isn't all that crowded when we go (About 11-midnight EST). Haven't ever had an issue with JPs camping atop us (or even seeing many of them aside from some TE competition now and again...). Of course, if the CoP zones are all taken, we usually hit up Sandy, which is dead deserted, as RDM/DNC + THF/NIN. Usually get a 100 once every 10-12 NMs, and we bounce between the NIN and the DRG orcs. Pulled in about 240 currency last night with one 100 so it went pretty well, even if not as well as CoP zones.

After bsts crapping all over me for the better part of a month I finally got sweet justice. Went into xarc and realized I was nin/war instead of /dnc. Figured it was a lost run but I could still get my fragment if nothing else so I went to get all the TE. Raum was up so I killed it. Then Gomery. A bst comes by furious that I took 'his NMs'. I don't seem to remember ever being compelled to walk right by an unclaimed NM before so I didn't feel too bad about it now. And after half a page of him ranting he got aggro right beside me. While he dealt with those mobs I continued toward the far west time extension and the smn and sam NM's were up too. I killed them both before he could get there and he went apeshit.

Two of them dropped hundred pieces (after me going like 1/110 in the past) and those hundreds A) finished my horn and B) gave me severance pay for putting up with dipper yuly every night for six weeks. After finishing that horn I wouldn't be in a party with a bst if they were the guaranteed voidwatch proc 100% of the time.

Sorry for no updates yet, haven't had a chance to solo dyna again as of yet. I did bust my ass and +1 all my BLU this weekend though, so that should help. Probably gonna try and solo tonight.

Also, I'm not sure how true this is, but I haven't seen it in this thread yet, (admittedly I haven't read much before page 90) but I was told by a friend that going without a sub in dreamlands will be for the +2 items for relic, and that you can still proc white with a sub and get 100's. Anyone know anything about this?

All the bragging has made any idiot abyssea-burn bst to 95. Don't even need to get AF3 to be effective. I don't even bother to rage as there are many options when it comes to camps for each zone. Duoing/soloing is still a viable option but when you have to fight for mobs i just bring a crew and do different camps.

@Raytheon - I admittedly have not used my BLU outside of Abyssea much lately, but I think I might give it a try if my partner can't make a dyna run sometime and I'll let you know how it goes. I'm fairly well geared comparative to the average Abyssea-alliance BLU, though I wouldn't say I'm at Prothescar's level yet.

That aside, for the +2 relic items: afaik, they're supposed to be obtained subjobless. Regarding white procs, I've never seen one happen with a subjob, and it's the general consensus that it only happens without one. If you or your friend get a screenshot of a white !! with subjob enabled, please shoot us a screenshot! Would save a headache and a half.

...Now I'm only hoping that the +2 items aren't white proc only...
