Ok so, I just started up dynamis, and I'm wondering if I'm doing ok >_>

On my first 3 runs, I made out with 225ish coins each run, and they were decently crowded, so I had to fight the mobs no one likes to fight. (2 were qufim, one was a valk, which had 15+ people, and ended with 180 coins because I forgot the cactuars could do 4k needles <.< and soporific is annoying as fuck)

I think with a bit more practice, trying to go during less crowded hours (not always an option w/ school), and getting better gear for my mules/skilling up their axes more, I could get up to 250 easy, and maybe push 300. Does that sound reasonable? Is that decent compared to what most of you guys get? D: (I wonder if changing my main to dnc/--- would be viable? Well, my dnc gear is pretty shit, so probably not)

(This is 3x bst, btw. Hate on. I only fight one mob at a time, unless I get links, because it's kind of annoying to get all 3 chars trying to proc on the same mob, and I can't think of an easy way to make them all alternate targets, so w/e.)

3x bst/dnc you should be getting 350-400 a run I'd say, self 3 boxing and killing one at a time. Your first few times will be less, is a small learning curve till you get the hang of it. My first few runs were pretty lol. Think my first 4 days I amassed maybe 5-600 coins total. Nowadays I can get that much In one day if lucky. if less competition and you can kill choice mobs then 400 a day should be doable.

I'm most of the way done with Aegis, but the past two weeks or so have been a real motivation killer for farming Dynamis myself, which is a shame as I was finding it great fun until recently, when more people started playing like jerks, basically. Friday night saw only 6 people in Valk, but one of them was trying to hold 12 mobs at one points. Low numbers in zone no longer means a relatively easy time finding/claiming mobs, because idiots of all jobs seem to think it's their right to claim half a dozen mobs at once. I've started doing cities more often because even if I pull in less coins, at least I don't feel like punching kittens by the time I'm done because of idiots.

And as far as overcrowding in zones goes, I present this:

    http://img191.imageshack.us/img191/7...1119135341.png

    54 people in Dynamis-Valk.

That's pretty lulz, but I think they might be doing Lost NM's, or trying to farm -1's in advance.

Totally agree Dooom. Today my group went at a bad time (9:45am Est) to Glacier as it was the least packed with 12. As we entered 10 more did as well. We spent 20 minutes without getting 1 TE because of all the competition. Then one member used a scroll of warp instead of his RR scroll (lulz) so I said to hell with it and did some errands...

I don't know if it's because odin is a piece of shit and there's always 8+ people in every zone no matter what, but I don't really see myself doing 300+ coins per run, especially not 400+ >_>

I guess my 2 mules having pretty shitty gear is slowing me down more than I thought (full perle, was using maneater/random axe like viking axe, and one of them was only level 89, lol.)

I'm almost done with dual PDT axes, axe skill is still kinda lowish, but getting higher every run. I've been using Yuly/2sheeps, are any of the other higher level jug pets better to use than the sheep? Guess I should also look into getting better gear for my mules. D:

    Thanks for the input :D

edit: I guess I might also be taking too long to get all the TE's.

The quicker you get TE, the sooner you can farm. Ideally you'd want 1 BST getting the 20min while everyone else gets 10min one. Prolly not easy to do with tribox, but yea. The mobs you fight also matter, anything with aoe sleep will slow you down no matter what. There are some better alternatives for mobs in valk. If you're worried about overcrowding just maybe stick to Qufim, on Cerb it's generally empty compared to the other 2. The learning curve in Dyna to me is just knowing the most efficient way to get TE, then get to your mob camps and proccing/killing them ASAP. If you're triboxing stick to proccing/killing 1 mob at a time.

I'd take a day to get your axe skill capped and gear accordingly. Using maneater/viking @75 was a no no. I don't want to throw out a time frame to gear, but I think even if it took a week for 3 mules I'd do it. Doing those improvements will help you yield more coins per run over time. Also, I started using red curry buns and that has made a huge improvement to my totals as well. Byrth said I believe 2 coins pays for your food each run, and you will kill much faster. It's worth it.

Well, the weapon was only temporary. I made like 600 coins while getting used to the zone and dual boxing bsts, so I think it was worth it. (Plus skilled up my mules axes up to 250, almost catching up to my main's 295. I really need to go out and skill them all up :/)

I'm currently sitting at 1 finished PDT axe on each one, and on the last few trials for a 2nd for all of them, so that should take care of weapons.

As for armor, what exactly should I be aiming for? +2 head/body/legs, ocelot gloves, and twilight belt would cap(almost) haste, and then just ws gear accordingly I guess. If anyone has any sets they can share, I'd appreciate it.

Also still curious about jug pets. Sheep supposedly caps at 85-86, so with full beast affinity merits that should still be alright at 95, right? Need to cap that on my mules >_<

Sorry I'm asking so many questions <.< but thanks for all the answers, I really appreciate it.

If we're talking about BST jugs and Dynamis, Tiger Pet is a fucking beast in the DD department.

Yeah that's what I meant. I don't really use it much partly cause I'm either wanting TH or just a cheap throwaway pet/good AOE dmg so bunny.

The axe from the imp NM is good for offhand.

    Right now I'm using Charmer's/Glyph.

But theres better combos, and i think 2x PDT Axes is generally the best bet for solo... I think

Don't really see how if you mean Dynamis. Better off gearing for DD axes than PDT since you can just use heals on your pet who probably won't take all that much dmg to begin with.

Thanks, will try those out next time.

Also, PDT axes do have 69 damage. The only thing higher is that super expensive dmg70 haste+2 (really nice, though..) axe, that I really don't see myself buying for all my characters, or even my main. <_< The only other AH axe that matches up on damage (and beats it depending on moon stages) is Tonatiuh, which is 1.2mil. I'll just stick to PDT axes, because they'll also give the -20% pet damage, which while that doesn't really shine much in dynamis, it'll be incredibly useful if I use my 3bstbox for anything else. (Fuck, that damage is even higher than an 85 farsha, only other things higher would be high level farsha, guttler, or aymur, which I respond with lol. I might do a farsha on my main, but I reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeally don't see myself ever taking it over 85)

There are STR/atk+ axes for master and pet, or the DA axe. They obviously require more time investment though.

Also, the Weakens Defense axe has been said to be really great too. I'm using 1 +3pdt and 1 +2pdt atm. I don't parse so I won't try to say I average anything, but I'm really happy with my rampages seeing my high at an even 2500.

It is very easy to cap haste on Bst and there are many routes you can go. I currently am using af3+2 head/body/legs/feet with dusk gloves +1 to cap haste. Before I had +2 body I used Velox Harness. Just play around with it and you'll get there.

As far as jugs myself and my other bst friend usually just each use dippers. We will use sheep to get TEs tho to make it faster and if we need to Leave a pet from aggro we're not wasting money. I did use a leftover Bloodclaw and we were killing almost faster then we could proc. Bloodclaw's paralyze also worked wonders on the dragons in Bubu.

54 people, I bet most were in an ally farming NM/ bosses perhaps?
Idiots who don't check the zone #'s before entering too perhaps?

Again, find out how many mobs you are killing per run, not just how much coins you get. 3x bst should easily pull in 300-350 even if super gimp like you and your mules are. Are you able to kill the mob before stagger wears off with your 3 bsts? If not you need to seriously improve your dps.

I've sometimes seen an alliance go in and do NMs/bosses, but 54 still leaves 36 people farming coins; unless 2 allies are doing NMs/bosses, which would be quite something, and still leaves 18 people. Though it can be very odd, I entered Valk this morning with 6 in zone, by the time I'd finished TEs it had shot up to 30. There was a lot of competition at Hippos (the first set of mobs I farmed after doing TEs), but after that I never saw anyone else at any monsters at all during byne and shell hours; by the time it was bronze JA procs again there were still 30 people in the zone, including a half dozen or so solo bsts (excluding myself and mule), yet I got in a full 20 mins of Bronze farming without seeing anyone at Hippos. Very strange indeed.
