Did the raise the level of the Hydra mobs? They were harder than Mildaunegeux was, lol.

Linkshell is working on a theory that staggers are broken down into the following categories:
JA: RNG THF MNK BST NIN
WS: PLD WAR SAM DRG DRK
Magic: WHM BLM SMN BRD RDM
This holds true for our own linkshell runs and everything I've seen in this thread so far unless we missed something.
Procs are with respect to the mobs job.
I've staggered multiple times with Jump and Angon, so DRG can definitely stagger with JA
What was the job of the mobs which you staggered with Jump/Angon?
In my post here: http://www.bluegartr.com/threads/104...=1#post4593139
A WAR with a JA proc, SAM with JA proc, MNK with WS proc.
Edit: Oh you mean mob type, I see. nevermind!
I'm sorry I worded my first post poorly. To clarify, If you are fighting a RNG THF MNK BST NIN mob, then a job ability will be what staggers it and so on. What job you the player is of non-consequence. As far as narrowing in on what specific JA/WS/Spell will cause the stagger we are currently unsure. About to go attempt to confirm our theory now.
Did DL today got it down to about 60% then it poped Ying/Yang and started Summoning adds shortly after. Nothing to hard got it to 50% in end with mainly 2 sams and a whm and 2-3 other small time dd
Yea, that's been like that for years since Dynamis' inception. Ranger and Ninja Kindred always use Hecatomb Wave as a ranged attack. It's their substitute for bow/gun/shuriken. Also ninja will forfeit ranged attack and opt to attack normally when you get into melee range.
We had animated flourish and mug trigger blue when we farmed today several times.
Fighting Dagourmarche for trial business; uses charm. A lot. Took it to 35% in ~2min w/ THF DRG RDM WHM before back to back charms. Mages died and it depopped shortly after reaching its spawn location. Just to confirm, Traitor's fortune page or w/e is the pop item, dropped from a Hydra DRG, ~1/20 drop rate.
Just got out of Dyna-Sandy and based on our results we need to respectfully disagree with Arthars. We intentionally tried to disprove our abovementioned theory but didn't get a single stagger that didn't fit (roughly 40/40 on mobs we were able to proc). I'm about to go to bed and will post screenshots etc tomorrow but a few points of interest:
-Our first stagger was a blue stagger from mandalic stab
-Mandalic stab triggered red on additional procs (day changed between first and additional procs Water>Wind)
-Aeolian edge staggered mobs which were not the target of the ws multiple times on our run
-Magic staggers also gave red !! and did not hold to the abyssea style (previous current following day) scheme
Still have no insight on narrowing down what ws/ja/spell will cause stagger.
I would like to reiterate what Chemius stated.
We intentionally tried to proc things that did not fit our theroy.
We were unable to do so.
We WILL be uploading 30ish screenshots tomorrow supporting this exact job combination.
This was tested only in Sandy. It may be different in other zones.
has anyone proved this wrong yet:
which weapon skill you use does not matter as long as it matches the weapon the weakness might be, example > tachi: Kasha will trigger a monster that has picked GK as weakness but also Tachi: Fudo would do the same?
i find it very hard to believe that SE would actaully have the Emp/WoE weapon skills as trigger, easy way to test would be using 2 weapon skills on a monster while it is casting/tp move and see if 2nd triggers but first dont (if you get lucky on trigger)
I would just like to agree that the drop rate on these does indeed seem to be rather crappy. I wasn't counting but my group killed maybe 15-20 whm/blm/brd hydra with a thf and got 1 Quiebitiel pop. Unless both of our groups just had terrible luck, don't expect to hammer out 5 of these in one night without a fair amount of luck and/or very efficient farming. The NM itself is even easier now, though, since it doesn't spawn any additional mobs.
