Neo-Dynamis Changes

Just got utterly raped by Diabolos Nox. Spent 90% of the time terrored. We tried one without PD before that just to see how rapey he was (popped Somnus this time) and everyone was dead inside 10 seconds.

Despte the instinct being to zerg everything I'm thinking of trying to take it slow next time, maybe 2 DD tanks or even a PLD and a few relic rangers to take it down in a more controlled fashion. However there's other problems depending on which version of him we get like Charm and Death.

Also, not seen it mentioned but the 2 forms we fought were both immune to stun so CSS is out.

PD zerg works on Somnus and Letum, even if that doesn't protect against Hypnogenesis (conal attack, btw) and Nightmare it is effective on Daydream. Nox and Umbra spam Ultimate Terror far too much.

We fought 2 Umbra and 2 Letum yesterday, they were easy to hold with 3 summoners when everyone was weak/dead. We had to use at least 1 Diabolos for Letum because of his AoEs Drain while the two others summoners did Thunderstorm / Release. Hypnogenesis fully heal avatars each time too (glitch).

Umbra starts to summon one Diabolos's Vestige after Ruinous Omen which always occurs under 80% and two Diabolos's Vestige after Nightmare under 40%. Nightmare is used only once.

Everyone but the popper should stand at 20.1 from the ??? before popping since both Umbra and Letum opens the fight with Cacodemonia (AoE Curse and TP reset) while Nox and Somnus starts with Noctoshield.

What exactly does Hypnogenesis do? I have it listed as large single target damage, which seems like it would be inaccurate given that it isn't blocked by PD. Is it like Tarsal Slam or something?

Conal AoE attack that reduces HP to 1 with the same animation as Ruinous Omen but definitely conal and low radius. On avatars it does 1600 "damage" instead of 1599 and their HP bar is full after...
It is the only real TP attack of Letum with Cacodemonia. His Nightmare / Daydream combo is time based, the first one is 1 min after pop then every 2 min. Charm lasts 50 seconds.

Umbra/Somnus/Letum are not immune to stun but their resistance is very, very high.

People even behind Letum were hit by Hypnogenesis on my video so it's not conal, sorry.

Just to confirm before I go waste my time but, Forgotten items are TH based and independent of procs?

Yes, although I don't see why you wouldn't go for JA procs at the same time. The drop rate of forgotten items per mob is still poor, and I imagine you'd be making much less $ by completely forgoing procs.

Well, if I'm 3 boxing and don't care about currency, I can tear through DC mobs much faster WHM BRD MNK than WHM DNCorTHF MNK.

It's not like you can't sell currency to buy forgotten items, the price of which has and still seems to be crashing. One forgotten is only worth around 5-7 coins on my server.

This. You make more money farming currency than forgotten items, therefore (because you can buy the forgotten items) you're better off farming currency.

What is the rate of forgotten off EP, random or much lower than DC, no noticeable difference?

Anyone have good strategy for the Dragon that drops the Tjurrupka Medal in Bubu? Only fought him once and got spanked pretty bad, want to be prepared next time.

I average about 5 forgotten items per run on EP. Lowest being 2, highest being 9. This is with both TH2 and TH7+ (friend let me borrow his account so I could have a dnc/-- and I went thf/dnc and whm/sch, but he cancelled a few weeks ago

Now I usually go nin/dnc + whm/thf, haven't noticed much of a difference on forgotten drops in last couple weeks)

TH2 is something like 2/3 - 3/4 of TH7. So yeah, you're only going to average like 1 less hope without it or so on EP, because the drop rate is awful to start with.

With TH2 I am 8/317 over the last three runs I've parsed, so ~2.5% drop rate.

I get ~20 Forgotten items and over 200 currency per run off DC mobs, assuming competition isn't too rough and I can avoid wiping/remember to sub THF on my mule.

I "think" I can manage WHM/RDM MNK/THF and DNC/00 or MNK/WAR and THF/DNC on DC. I was just tearing through Yagudo and Funguar yesterday, what's the best rotation for Valkurm in that area?

Edit: 120 currency, 14 touches without procing but a few.

Treants > Funguar > Sheep is what most prefer. I used to do Hippos but fuck their dispel spam (getting to/from the camp can be a pain also, mostly out of camp. Just drop down the ledge near the west wall where treants are and camp along the wall for a safe camp if you prefer Hippos). Treants are by far the easiest to kill, sheep aren't too bad either since their sleepga doesn't last too long. I average 200~250 coins + 15~25 touches dualing BST + THF. Qufim was my best so far, got 30 Journey + 250ish coins last night even while afking a few times.

*when there's a lot of competition, you can just stay at treants for WS proc and do those 3 Yagudo near funguar. Manticore and Goobbue aren't too far if you have to do those instead for shells, sometimes treant get overcrowded depending on when you enter.

just started duoing dynamis, are procsrolled for each player or is it a random chancr toproc

me and.my buddy both used voke, and subsequently his redprocced after mine not even a second later, same goes for blade hi, sometimes mine would proc while his wouldn't

Random chance to proc. You can proc something by just spamming the same JA/Magic/WS over and over.
