Has anyone had luck farming bastock.
I am averaging 150 in dreamlands doing standard JA routine. I have access to triple box but really only really use third as a bst with one macro for pet lol.
I can do:
1. Bst or thf
2. Bst
3. Brd
Can I break 150 in bastock. Proving seems like a problem compared to dreamlands
Tips?
I found the best camp for Bastok was behind the AH, killing the 2 THFs (DRK NM spawns here also), then cycling a BST or RNG to the north, then the MNK and THF to the south towards the MH. I still got a decent amount of Journey's (was it?) killing the EP, I tried looking for a good DC mobs camp but Bastok fucking sucks. I tried camping the ledge where you get the 15 min TE, but it's so slow compared to any other options. Even then, the mob selection is RDM > MNK > THF > PLD > DRK or some shit. I also tried camping the top near Bat's Lair entrance (has NIN NIN RNG RNG I believe), but the mobs from the bottom floor came up and killed me >_>. I only went to farm SAM hands for a mule, but I think I averaged close to 180 coins as BST and dual boxed TH/proc whore THF mule out of 3 runs.
Should always spam the NMs whenever they're up. You'll usually get at least 1 100 piece per run. Even so, CoP is almost always better.
The cities have horrible mob placement. It's like they sprinkled the mobs around without thinking that people would want to kill them without a billion links.
Unless of course there are a billion people in each CoP zone, then you are SoL unless you do something else.
They're still better than city zones from my experience, even with a billion people. Congestion doesn't really hurt solo BST that much anyway since they take forever to kill mobs. It's not like they need them to repop quickly.
There's also plenty of decent beastmen camps in CoP zones that nobody ever touches.
I have not set foot in the CoP zones since they updated them. There are generally 15-18 people in each of the zones any time I have checked (except of course for Tav which normally has 4-6 people), it just doesn't seem like it would be very productive with that many people around.
15-18 is manageable, there are theoretically enough camps between EP-DC mobs that you could have areas to yourself. That's unlikely though lol.
Today a group of 10 with AF2-1 and Forgotten items commented entered Dynamis - Tav when I had a few minutes left and started murdering everything. I don't even know.
lol that's awesome.
I know I've said this a bunch, but I honestly believe there's always at least one camp that's open at any given time in the CoP zones. It's just people do not like fighting certain mobs: cacti in valkurm for instance, or the flytraps there. People seem to avoid the hippos too. If you know what you're doing on BLU/DNC, you can kill any mob in dynamis without them ever using a tp move (thank you delta thrust) so the choice is really yours to make. Side-note: BLU with TH2 (using taru sash) is actually really effective.
Other mobs I've never seen anyone camp: raptors in qufim, sea monks in qufim (have seen BST here before but they never last long), tigers in qufim. Haven't done bubu enough recently to comment on it. These are all DC mobs obviously.
Also kindred in tav are pretty good. There's quite a few JA mobs (RNG NIN BST MNK and THF). Never been anyone killing these when I've went.
Overall, best camp I've ever used would be the treant > funguar > sheep rotation in valkurm, but it's been pretty congested recently so I've been doing other stuff.
Hippos are pretty camped, but so are sheep sometimes. I like camping near the cactuar and pulling manticores instead of trees though.
Flytraps arent bad if you have a mage able to stand on the sidelines. Soporific is 20' nightmare sleep, so if it uses it, you're dead, since taking damage wont wake you.
With delta thrust they won't use soporific anyway though, but yeah it can be a pain if it goes off for some reason. I've never died from it though; it only lasts 30 seconds or so.
I've never done the hippos; I just always see them unclaimed on my way to the flytraps so I assumed they were usually uncamped. I prefer the cactus though so my heavy strike will land. I'm assuming hippo's evasion is fairly high (relative to heavy strike acc).
Wow hippos are super camped whenever I go. I've usually see 90% of all the people in the zone on them during ja proc time
What family do you do for bynes time, cause going from funguar > sheep is as far as going funguar > hippo. Most of us are talking about the higher level ones (dc camp towards Valkurm Emperor spawn).
My favorite cycle in Qufim is Raptor > Gaylas + x3 Roc > Stirge for the DC/higher level Nightmare mobs, no one ever touches them when I entered since update.
Also, Buburimu fkin blows for the DC route, you have to either deal with shitty camps or shitty mobs. I hated the birds cause of their high evasion, and scissor guards sometimes slow down melee kills on the crabs. Scorps just suck because of their damn poison crap (you'll be using a lot of pet food if you choose to to do them D: ). You then have to worry about bronze coins phase cause the nearest DC bronze mobs are Uragnites, don't even fuck with them if you're solo melee w/o steady poisona/healing waltz/viruna. I tried the DC mandy/bunny/crawler camps near OP once, but you'd be facing the same problem cause the nearest whiteshell mob are what...Ep scorps? Beastmen placement suck, so you'd probably end up doing a WS proc during this phase, just like the other camp with DC crab > DC bird > whatever (can do some JA proc gobs or quad near crabs camp here or just run to EP mandy/rabbits near Mhaura)
Best thing to do in bubu is to suck it up and do magic procs on one of the DC mobs on the left or right side. Otherwise you gotta run all over the place. In qufim we did raptor > sea monk > snoll. Snolls are soooo squishy it's awesome.
