So they're supposedly taking away BST's TH. Lulzasaurus rex.

Lowering it*
I did solo about half of him once because my buddy was dead near him. He didn’t wanna reraise and die w/o re-applying. IIRC his range attack was had a conelike effect or something. I was in the red mostly myself so I couldn’t move it right away.Getting the weakness item, specifically regen reduction, is pretty much mandatory. He is pretty easy after hes weakened, I would get all the weakness items and use it on him and you should be able to solo him just fine.I assume it's prolly been done, but has anyone done the Qufim boss as a solo BST? Only clear I never got, assuming it's possible with a good -pdt set.
With a good pdt/reward set, it’s not hard to solo. The hard part for me was poping him w/o getting creamed. Everytime I pop get nailed and pretty much red hp before everything is finally stabilized.
Going /nin might help but I always farmed afterwords so I stay /dnc.
And yes, I strongly suggest weakness items. All of which easily bst soloable.
Well sheet. Guess it's time to unload all my flacorrs lol.
i always recalled qufim boss ranged ignoring shadows.
Not sure if this is known, but I was farming attestation NM pop items and was solely targetting the easy prey Hydra as BG wiki mentions those are the only ones that drop attestation NM pop items.
After getting my needed attestations we went to farm the DC Hydra for thoughts, and well, we saw this:
[20:19:34]Fredjan gains 72 limit points.
[20:19:34]You find an odious tree root on the Hydra Monk.
[20:19:34](2*) You find a forgotten thought on the Hydra Monk.
[20:19:34]You find a Tukuku whiteshell on the Hydra Monk.
[20:19:34]You find a villain's fortune parchment on the Hydra Monk.
Seems the DC ones drop them too. Something to add on BG wiki.
I personally just checked the mob pages; although there's no notes on the pages of the fortunes themselves. Went by the drop tables listed.
Coincidentally, I think they may also have a higher drop rate on them. We got a fair bit of fortunes off a small amount of mobs; maybe we just got lucky.
at 99, DC are better unless your ??? is near the EP mobs. NMs are still a bit of a dick though, SAM/RNG/DRK was manageable if you don't play silly, I am more worried about doing MNK/THF/NIN seems like a bit of fun.
Depends on what job you on. As a bst soloing or duoing the DC are significantly harder and slower to kill. Also dualboxed mnk/thf/nin one with pld/dnc and bst/rdm (/rdm since it has almost no gear no skill in magic and no merits) very easily.
Haven't seen it posted, but has anyone reported the possibility of Arch Dynamis Lord dropping multiple Umbral Marrows? We had been working under the assumption it was a single 100% drop. We received 2 Umbral Marrows though from the Arch DL we killed tonight. This was our 3rd kill since the addition of the Marrow items and the other 2 times we just received 1 Umbral Marrow. Didn't think to screenshot the double drop, but it definitely took us by surprise. I'm assuming everyone who has killed it since then has received at least 1 Umbral Marrow?
EDIT: Link to screenshot that another member took, posted in drop thread:

Yeah we got 2 today as well.
as well as possibly adding pet: TH items, this could be even better, depending on what kind of bone they decide to throw us.
though as it has been said, most will probably be easy to get. being a bst still lacks the secret impact it did a few years back :<
bst was never a job that needed expensive gear... just an apollo's staff back in the day... but the other good (charming) gear was pretty specialized and only available in limbus upgrades.
A scythe with Damage: 48 and -40% pet attack.
So is BST the best way to farm Neo Dynamis now? My friend and I can pull 200 singles duo on average as THF and MNK, how much of an increase would we get if we leveled to BST?
Think the real question is how much real benefit does TH add to drops in dynamis. IIRC under the new system the proc system helps out infinitely more then TH[TH still effects lolarmor dorps?]. So go with your best class that can proc and kill?
Nah, I'd rather it be a bitch to get. If it's just a weapon, no matter how crap, then they can just swap it out after a WS for one attack round. Not like pets can get TH procs so doesn't even matter when you'd switch it in during a fight.
Too Mild an inconvenience. Would prefer it hard to get so that the bandwagon asshole bsts are completely fucked, while the good bsts are just provided with a mild annoyance.
