What I don't like about DCs mainly is just how drasticly pet dmg lowers on them. And how much quicker your pet dies. And you too of course lol

Bub TE is the worst, I always link like 10 orcs when I pull it.

Are they farming with it, or searching for TEs? I usually start with tiger or slug or something for TEs in zones where they link (i.e. non-Tavnazia) because I usually end up having to sac one at some point. Then I bust out the seven-star yury for farming.

if you aren't solo, the best path i've found involves dc mobs in valk. You go hippo > trees > funguar and there's very little walking. Personally I always farm DC mobs and those 3 groups are extremely close together. My group has had its best coin totals consistently doing this (and of course selling the forgotten's we get a load of them).

The only competition we ever get comes from jp groups (if we go early enough), so we just go a little after they go to bed. NA's are all fighting like mad for the ep's and we get our little path to ourselves.

also TE in valk are pretty easy, usually takes us about 5-10 min tops (depending on the location of the 20 min one) friend and I go get all the 10 min while our bst friend goes for the 20. So if you have help definitely valk, but if you're solo I'd go with qufim/bubu.

I've had less link problems in valk than bubu by a mile, Qufim is a huge hit or miss for linking imo. Somedays nothing goes right and you end up with 8 orc's chasing you, and somedays it's so easy that my head hurts.

EP camps don't have enough monsters through all proc times, DC mobs require camping in aggro camps which may mean a bad pull is a full wipe. Not to mention, you are fighting Tigers, Weapons, Snolls (which one shot you if not stunned), Raptors and Kraken. Some of the worst mob selection through all proc times lol.
There's also Triple Bats, Single Bats and Diremites which are all squishy and right next to each other though. And all the 20min TE locations are within spitting distance of each other.

So the cut off point for a double and triple split seems to be about 40%? I remember us going too hard on it before a split and taking it to 41% before, ending up with 2 ADL

yea so far i seen 44% splitting into 2 and 36% into 3s

we only had 5 DDs so even how held back we were, we still always got him to split at 50%ish so thats pretty safe

just dont get terror ws or instant death from slash is just the trick (still uncontrollable) to this fight

luck is luck and if he decide to shit on you, then you are shitted upon no matter what

He's stunnable, so terror should only be a problem if he uses it immidiately after split. Shock Squall is boss on ADL.

Do you need a decent amount of summoning skill to land Shock Squall? All of our SMN's are pretty much Abyssea burned mules, I've gotten level 3 summoning magic from using Alex a few times though

Yes, farming with non-TH pets. On a few occasions I have had assholes with a slug come up and camp right the fuck on top of me, and then fucking stalk me as I go from spot to spot. Farming Dynamis has done wonders for my misanthropy.

As for camps, anymore I tend to do DC mobs because competition for EP mobs on Bahamut is fucking ridiculous most of the time. (Of course, competition for DC mobs can get pretty fucking atrocious as well, fuck this server.) Without competition on DCs, I can generally net about 160-170 currency two-boxing THF/DNC and WHM along with 8-12 forgotten items. A lot of risk involved with DC mobs, if you get multiple links of certain mobs there is a strong possibility of death. Not to mention that some TP moves (Jet Stream, Silence Gas) can do more damage than you have HP.

this is true but it only takes one other person doing them to really ruin everything. At least with my kill speed.

No idea but it is ridiculous. One pop we did a SMN used it as soon as it cloned and we all thought it had glitched because it just stood there and did absolutely nothing for ~10 seconds.

Same with our group. SMN did Shock Squall as we killed the first clone which was fake and we killed the second before stun wore off lol

Wait Shock Squall or you guys mean Chaotic Strike? I know the former was known from longest stun duration when not resisted.

Chaotic was also highly dependent on how many hits connected
