    I 3box 4m+ a run at DC's, I'd never do that on EP's nor would I even come close.

    DC drop more and proc faster, if I hadn't deleted everything FFXI from my computer I'd throw some parses out showing this. I was averaging 450 coins a run with a high at 481 doing abilities, DC are also better if you are setup to do WS because they have more HP to plow through. I know people who pull 550-650 3 man doing WS. (benefit to me is I'm not splitting)

    Well yeah but you are 3boxing it's counter productive solo or even duo most the time

    Pretty much what Karbuncle said, with the addendum that you will kill DCs if you want XP for Relic Armor +2 trials. You will kill more EPs, so even if you don't proc a few of them, it is less of a problem. Not to mention with EPs (if you are on THF at least), you can kill one while trying to proc another with very little worry. But, that is assuming that there aren't a billion other people there all crowding into the same camp.

    people naysaying DC monster proc faster probably didn't farm extensively on them.

    Back in october/november when we were farming money for my HMPs our coin yield went from 300 (on easy preys) to 500, and that was back when DC mobs were actually Tough (lv 96+), so signet didn't work and they hit very hard. I remember especialy the crows and kraken who could one shot a 2k HP monk.

    Level 99 cap made them even better; we moved to qufim (less runnign around), and coins went from 500 to 550 coins ( TH upgrade from af2+2) and 40-50 forgotten for free. I'm not counting white procs or bat NM's occasional 100c.

    When farming DC mobs in xarcabard for ADL pops it is especially obvious that WS mobs proc faster. They die in one skill chain (except PLDs) but we manage to proc ~33% of them.

    I'm not saying DC are better for soloer. It's the converse. soloers will always have the best coins/man ratio on EPs.

    DC proc rate is so much better than EP. Anyone who has farmed them extensively will have realized this. DC were better solo if you could kill them fast enough when forgotten items sold for a lot, now there is pretty much no reason for a soloer to fight DC mobs outside of competition(Which is usually a case, so you may end up being better off on DC regardless). Also +1 to Qufim, much less running around and the DC bomb camp is excellent if you have no comp. Usually pulled in like 20 extra coins on bronze phase because of them.

    Snolls, Raptors, Krakens. Weapons would be better since they're closer to Raptors and Krakens, but there's no good starting camp.

    Also, good three-man setups? Right now my buddy and I do THF and DNC, but every now and then we'll get a third person tagging along. Any suggestions to be able to tackle DC mobs effectively?

    We go as NIN/DNC THF/DNC DNC/XXX... DNC pulls, tries to get initial proc, main heals while NIN+THF proc current target (if not already by DNC) and kill. Maximizes chance of white proc without slowing killspeed, which goes pretty fast on account of Hi>Rudra's 2-shotting everything. Any DD/DNC should be useful, but I like NIN because it can become highly evasive on demand with Yonin+Issekigan and evasion gear on top of Utsusemi. DC mobs like to hang out in groups, and a whole bunch of adds trying to eat you without Signet bonus can go south in a hurry, so we send the NIN in first to eva supertank til they're all procced and killed.

    We did this same thing on EPs for awhile, and we doubled our potential currency per run when we moved up to DCs.. but given how crowded EP camps tend to be, we pretty much tripled our take.

    Also, I have nothing but anecdotal evidence to back this up, but it definitely seems to me like DCs proc faster than EPs. Also, disagreeing with the notion that it only seems this way due to DCs living longer; if your DCs live longer than your EPs, you shouldn't be fighting DCs lol.

    Reading your testimonials, I can't help but wonder what kind of gear sets you're all running -- as a THF/DNC, I don't kill precisely slow, but not at the speed I'd like to. My gear is average [and outdated, haven't played in a while] -- so would I be in the wrong for asking for input here?

    Exen set so far, I haven't really worked on it a lot, but the main changes are Arctier's on neck, Loki's for body, trying to get ocelot [or an alternative, if I can find one], AF3+2 hands... Yeah.

    Don't need THF's knife if soloing, just take the TH6 base, use Aluh/STR or STRx2

    don't tp in af2+1 hopefully, get brego

    rajas/eponas, buy eponas if you have to, it shouldnt cost much

    +2 legs, af2+2 boots

    that's not really much info on an exen set, non nyzul gear would be like houyi's/agi earrings/brutal/lokis/ocelot/stormsouls/ambushers/af3+2

    Hmm. I'll keep this in mind. Also there's a lot of missing stuff there because I don't really have a lot to swap into for Exen. Trying to get an Aias Bonnet for head currently. Haha.

    I've done Qufim 3 man, with the mobs mentioned above and have been getting over 550, one run we broke 600. We did THF/DNC, DNC/NIN (I'm pretty much always tanking in this setup and its come in handy many times), COR/DNC.
    I have mythic on dnc, thf had mandau, cor has armageddon. It works especially well because with those 3 weapons, just about any skillchain in any order makes darkness, which is an amazing time saving. If the THF can stack Mercy Stroke to close darkness, whatever we were fighting is pretty much instant dead regardless of its remaining hp. Exen is probably a little better unstacked, but it ends up losing out to the additional damage generated by darkness skillchains in my experience.

    I've duo'd with the same thf, and adding the cor actually increased the coin return to more per person. WS damage, tp gain, skillchains, everything increases significantly with the rolls, so things die faster. You gain piece of mind that you can sleep 2 links if the mobs are bad, so you don't waste time looking for clean pulls. Krakens like to cluster up at times.
