perhaps worth noting if you ever do dynamis out of CoP that the 20 minute TE is not in a random spot, that it's an ahriman in the northlands, and that xarcabard's TE statues are the "prototype" ones.
Did a quick search and turned up no results, and a quick browse of the thread proves fruitless as well..so might as well ask.
I'm in the process of making a Mandau, and I'm nearly finished - I'd like to know how difficult it is to get the necropsyche and the fragment. No linkshell capable of doing events, I'm pretty much limited to a max of 4 characters with all jobs available spread between them. It's my first relic so I have no idea what to expect.
Also a bit random..one of our toons still needs the win from Beaucedine for Xarc access. Angra Mainyu a pushover now like all the other MBs?
Thanks for any information!
The necropsyche drops from the dragons going up the ramp to Castle Zvahl. They're very easy to kill, I think sometimes the drop can be pretty bad.
You have to farm a pop item for Animated Dagger off of the Satellite Daggers. Drop rate is somewhat uncommon, but you can kill daggers pretty fast so with a handful of people you can usually get a good number of pop items in a run. Actually fighting it, you could probably duo with a healer and thf, it may be safer to have 2 DD in case one gets dropped by a self-darkness mercy stroke, but since its a 1 hit WS, keeping shadows up should avoid getting spiked like that.
Awesome. Thanks for the quick reply ^^
Sure, helped a friend finish Mandau a few months ago, and then later had to come back to Animated Dagger to level it up to 95. All of the Animated Weapons can hit rather hard with the Relic Weapon Skill, some of the cast as well, the worst case being something like Bindga > Mercy Stroke so you just got your shadows wiped. The WS shouldn't one shot anyone, so with a WHM it should be fine. I'm not sure how hard it would be coordinate multi-boxing it, since I don't dual box.
fuck me
The Nyzul thread? This is the Dynamis thread.
I jjust read Neo lol
Sorry for asking here, I couldn't find anything specific regarding droprates on BGWiki.
A few days ago, I did a Dynamis-Bastok run with a few friends of mine. We weren't sure if NMs actually dropped 100s or not, so we didn't bother with them at first until we decided to run in circles around the auction house, killing the DRK NM twice or thrice in the process. To our surprise, he did drop a 100, so we decided to kill the other NMs as well and got a total of 3 100s in 8 or 9 kills (2 of them with proc, THF with capped TH gear) I think.
I'm pretty sure that we have been lucky, but has there been any conclusive data on 100 droprates from city NMs? Don't know if cities would be viable in case dreamlands happen to be full.
Thank you in advance for any help!

doesnt offer insight as to what was killed with !! and what wasnt, but it seems the drop rate is around 3-5%
I see, wonder if procs do influence the droprate or not, but I doubt all those kills were without procs.
Thank you!
Given the drop rate on stuff people don't tend to proc (NQ Dynamis Lord etc), it's probable that the 5% rate is flat and not affected by procs. That being said though, you should factor in what other monsters are around/how long it's taking you to kill them before you decide if its worth nspending your time on them. City NMs arn't as big a deal since they proc like normal I guess, but for Nightmare NMs like Scolopendra or Stringes their proc is random each time you pull them, so you're risking having no drop for a 5% shot at a 100.

Do not underestimate the animated weapons lol the stupid great sword spammed sleepga and blizzga III and one shot my mule with scourge. Fight was in the middle of aggro central and really was way more of a pain in the ass than I thought chewed up my jug pets as well. Also the drop rate was a pain in the ass took me about almost the full dynamis run to get finished with both drops lol. The dragon was easy animated great sword not so much but now that I know not to clown the fight it should be way easier to do 10x lol.....
with TH? I did 4 spharai trials and 1 Ghorn, the drop rate on goad is very high. something like 1/2 or 1/3 with a thief, so you're just limited by how many mobs there are (4-5).
The spharai animated knuckles can also one shot a MNK if unlucky (ive seen 2k+ Final Heavens), died a few times over 3 spharai trials but its easy to hold while weakened in full evasion build and /NIN, because it only casts hast and protectra lol. The animated horn is annoying because it charms or horde lullaby constantly, easy otherwise.
It's not really necessary to guess at drop rates anymore, guys:

Ornate Goad is one that we can be pretty sure gets farmed with TH because it's for Dagger. 20% drop rate with TH. There are 6 Animated Daggers in the .dats.
Uses TH1
complains about drop rates
Took me a full run to do my dagger 95 trial on my thief, as well as one run to do my shield and bow, and that was with my mage mule on thief (who is not well geared at all).
But even then, none of the other goads hint to having a garbage drop rate:
Tabar 18.7
Kunai 16.5
GSD 22.2
Horn 21.8
