On the topic of making gil, why don't you just Aby farm now? I farm Cruor and just sell it for gil though tamer NPC. It's easy and get merits/skills etc while doing it. Made about 20m in a couple weeks I think, wasn't really keeping track(was solo anyhow). lol Anyway, my experiences with ADL went nicely, RNG, WAR, MNK, WAR, SMN, WHM, RDM, BRD, COR. Though 3 of those jobs where DB'd though.

Chaos Strike is single target, but it also works pretty well. We did Arch-Omega yesterday and kept him pretty well locked with a combination of Chaos Strike and Shock Squall. My Chaos Strike en-stuns were lasting about as long as Shock Squall (>450 skill in my BP set). Against Arch Omega, about three people focusing and using their 6 BPs at the right time could pretty much keep him totally locked down.

Honestly, even with the embrava nerf, with SE's planned changes to the floor jumps and lamp delays (JUST GET RID OF FUCKING CODE LAMPS YOU IMPUDENT FUCKS), I dont see why a group cant hit f80 on a regular basis. 4 DD + brd + SCH (regenga mostly, nukes on flan/PDT custard floor, etc) should be more than sufficient.

I really hope SE looks at what they're planning to do to Embrava and realize theyre basically raping it with a baseball bat covered in barbed wire, because its going to be useless in their planned state. I also hope SE plans to adjust ADL with their Embrava/PD changes, cause its going to go from a luck fight (ability to do a 30+ second terror in a fight SE admitted to already being "a short quick fight") to "too bad I win all the time" (inb4 taint: kill it without PD, just toss bodies at it).

no ADL changes in sight. however maybe some new strategys will come up with the new SPs. like go PD on smn -----> switch to chain bloodpact stunning ADL and his clones. or going with another setup like going 4-5 sams bring it to split, activate the new 2 hour to mitgate dmg and get WS poweredup through it and plow through the the remaining ADLs (tough one breakga could fuck up your plans). dunno time and tests will tell. The really dangerous part about ADL is the fight after the split, so people will focus on saving the SP for then rather then throwing it out pre split.

You would need to put out an incredible amount of damage while it was casting/tping around 60-50%, because it force splits if it is not already doing another action. Not worth the risk, as you would get fucked if it splits below 39%, opens up with tera slash or implosion and fucks you.

I think the Chain spelling of shock squall, which can be used after a PD mind you ( since the new ability refills your MP), will really add a lot of strategy to certain fights. BLU is getting a chain spell UK so maybe can you chain spell Absolute Terror...?

Pretty much this. You can sometimes get it below 40 if its casting a GA III or charging a slower TP move, but once the summoning animation begins its entirely immune to damage, so that would stop your pre-split zerg in its tracks. If you're going fast enough and it didn't lock itself out, it usually begins the split before 50% in my experience.

won't work. if you stun at 59% it will split no matter what, after his spell went off. if you stun at 61% he will split at 59% no matter what. you cannot deal 60% damage in 2 seconds.

We do on average 6 ADL per day, every day, and it's been a good while since we died to one. If your summoners aren't retarded they know how to and when to squall it, and it won't even have a chance to terror you. We have killed numerous without PD as well in the past 2 weeks to see how it goes, and haven't died to a single of them simply because it's stun locked, and the DD know how to turtle up when it's needed.

Edit: Having DRKs who bash/stun once squall wears off definitely helps as well.

Good thing you know everything right? No. You have no clue how we run our ADL nor do I care to tell you, and if you have no clue what I mean with what I said previously, then no wonder you think ADL is a luck based fight most of the time.

Of course, you're an awesome godsend player...Because when ADL sneaks a 30 second terror between Shock Squalls and then proceeds to chainspell your ass with aga4's, it has nothing to do with the fight being luck bullshit, its totally being an unskilled gimp...yeah, totally. It is a luck based fight, and anyone without their head crammed up their ass would agree. The fact you "dont care to tell" how you kill ADL (because we all know this game is the pure embodiment of "there are multiple different ways to take down the same HNM") means you just toss extra bodies at it when it decides to press its "fuck you I win" button, and last I checked, that strategy, zombie zerging, got LS's laughed at, so I dont consider that a successful strategy.


Really now, the logistics of doing 6 ADLs "every day" without employing a 20char+mules roster is staggering. You farm 6 of each odious item, manage to pop 6+ NQ nms (ffxidb sayin 50-65% drop rate), pop 6 of each HQ nm, 6 DLs and 6 ADLs...all that in less than 2 hours?
