Does anyone even have a clue what causes determined the Red, blue, and yellow stagger? (along with green and white). It seems to stagger regardless of the colour but red seems to be far more common.

i put all this info together onto 1 web page

They said they want to balance relics and mythics towards emps, not mythics towards relics.
I have a theory I'm working on...
I think it's always possible to stagger, but it changes throughout the fight, but right around ws/casting/2hr it allows a lot more stuff to stagger.
At this point I'm almost certain it's either that, or a low chance to proc even with the right spell/ja/weapon for a given mob but the chance to actually proc with the right ability increases a lot around them.
Also, coin drop rate is already dramatically higher than what people thought early in the thread just from this kinda-sorta beginning to maybe figure it out.
Decided to enter Sandy late this evening with myself on NIN/DNC and a BRD/WHM buddy to dick around for a little bit. We got some time statues and was working on trying to proc mobs with the theory we came up with. After 40 minutes, we did not get 1 single proc using JA's on Mnks/Thfs/Rngs etc, WS's on Plds/Wars/Drks, or magic on mage mobs. We then had a MNK buddy come out and join us, and sure enough the first 4 mobs we fought after he entered we successfully proc'd, which leads me to believe that there exists a minimum requirement for proc'ing mobs, in this case would be having at least 3 people in our party. It just didn't seem coincidental that we couldn't proc for 40+ minutes with 2 people, then suddenly proc'd 4 in a row when we had 3 people, following our theory of procs. After that, we proceeded to get many more procs in a short period of time, including a couple nms. What still gets me is the blue vs. red vs. yellow procs. After we started to proc, we got 10 yellow procs in a row, then suddenly towards the end we got 9 red procs in a row, all consecutive and not mixing any other color. We did not see any blue procs. I'll post the proc'ing stats here followed by some screenshots for verification. The procs are listed in chronological order.

I will take any SS from my Dyna rompings.
Read the log entry carefully.
There is no indication that the WS actually attacked the mob, there's too little information. It does tell us that Staleyx staggered a mob, but it doesn't tell us which one. The Vanguard THF might even be a mob being fought by somebody else. There's no solid information here to explain the stagger.[19:49:09]Staleyx readies Dancing Edge.
[19:49:09]Praleart's casting is interrupted.
[19:49:09]Staleyx's attack staggers the fiend!
[19:49:09]The Vanguard Purloiner uses Perfect Dodge.
Well that explains that then!
Wheres the video? I cant find it
That's pretty cool...why did it seem to take 3 attempts on the 3rd mnk? 2nd thf took like 5 JA's? And why did they stick to thf/mnk, they could use magic and WS's on the other job types?
nvm reading on I found out why they stuck to thf+mnk.
Last Night i went to give this a go with my mules in X and besides the already posted staggers, I go some ones that I didn't expect. I triggered red with Fire, Stone III, Silence, Blizzard so the teir of the spell might not matter (I have a pretty gimped RDM mule that I haven't bought all spells for lol)
I was kinda wondering this same thing as my friend and I have been in Xarc duo each night this week and have yet to process a single stagger. We have tried multiple JAs, WSs and jobs and nothing. So on the surface, there maybe something to the 3 people plus being in party thing.
**EDIT** I guess nvm on this, maybe it has just been bad luck, but over 3 runs, not a single stagger yet. So idk...
