Or proc the SMN NM before killing so it can't 2hr
You might be right, can't say I've ever tried it myself. Sleep is often fast enough to block flow anyways, if you're watching the avatar to move soon as it awakes.
Ya lol. Talking about the new NMs specifically, as they have enough HP to not really be able to zerg them down fast with a small group.
I just assumed they were highly resistant to silence, but I'll try it, thanx!
The sleep/break stacking helps as well, I'll try it out.
Did some searching throughout the thread and didn't see, so got a couple of questions.
1. Has anyone been able to 'stagger' the Attestation NMs?
2. Have anyone seen them drop the 100 units?
Okay, running around Dynamis I get the impression there are three groups of monsters that roughly separate into these categories:
* EP monsters <--- Not near ???s for new NMs, but near the ??? for the zone boss and the entrance
* EM-low T monsters <-- Between the above and below groups
* High T monsters <-- near ???s for new NMs and the two 15 minute TEs
Is this correct, or are there only two groups?
Something like that, but I would say there are two groups, and are usually in different part of the area, at least by experience.
For example: Easy Prey monsters don't drop any of the new NM pop items, while Tough to Very Tough monsters do.
And like in Xarcabard, the North side of the zone (divided by the spines) have Tough to Very tough monsters, while the central/south side have easy preys.
In cities, usually, there are two TEs that are among the tougher mobs. One 20 minutes, and One 10 minutes.
pondering about better Dynamis setup... i'm currently farming sandy
my setup: thf/nin nin/dnc whm/rdm, should i change nin into BST? i've seen many bst/dnc solo, and quite successfullly too, and pet wont' get charmed by Timed NMs so you won't wipe, lol
started killing Timed Nin NMs after i got 2 1 m silvers, in 2 days, raised my coin count from 130 av to 229-256~
(today killed about 6 DRG and 6 Nin and had no m.silver drops-.-)
still do you think i should rep nin with bst, to have better versatility?
and for that bst, best to have emp axe main hand? and off hand axe with - pdt dmg or + eva for a pet? or just get 2 -pdt or 2 +eva ones O.o so many choices >.< (how should i merit bst anyway?) lol
and maybe change whm to blm/whm ? to one shot Serjeant Tombstone(sandy), i assume proc, ing !! on that mob is out of the question~
need some input, thx in advance
been running dyna bastok and sandy now for abit and easy enuf in lowman
but for windy and jeuno i cant find a decent place to bring the new NMs to
every spot seems to be aggro central and for our small group the adds start to overwhelm us. any suggestions? few in LS would love the new katanas and daggers including myself. thx in advance
Jeuno is just a clusterfuck, especially as inside the palace you can unintentionally end up with mobs from both floors. Most of the popped NMs are inside the palace, usually have a THF pop and use hide to lose the inevitable aggro.
As far as a safe place to fight them goes there really isn't one. You can fight out the back of the palace, there's an area where you should avoid aggro but no way to keep your mages out of AoE range. Safest place to fight anything is probably the Upper Jeuno zone line where the statue is popped but it's getting there in the first place.
We fight all the Odious NM's in Jeuno at the entrance to the palace. Your mages will definitely get hit with AOE here though, so you need many good healers and WHM's with strong Barfira enhancing sets. A SCH or WHM/SCH in each party absolutely helps here as well.
Any suggestions on how to handel neo glacier?
We're looking at doing it to get xarc clear for a few new players and from the little bit I've read looks like the traditional method doens't work anymore.
