Type of proc, JA-WS-Magic? We kinda need more data than "got proc and drop" in order to try and nail what procs it.

We know SJs need to be locked, and that's about it. Aeolian Edge can't be the be-all end-all to getting drops. :/

Of course it's not, we also have Cataclysm and Fell Cleave!

That's awesome. I just had 86 red staggers with Byrth locked and my mule out of party, no white procs. Were you doing the appropriate action at the appropriate time when it procced white?

Seems to be just a random chance when you do a normal style proc with subjob locked. For what its worth 3/51 were white for me.

I've been subjob locked yesterday and today and I went 0/157 on it. All things considered, it's probably a 1~2% proc rate relative to the normal stagger. There could also be more to it, like "it won't proc if someone with a subjob is on the hate list," but I'd still be unlucky in that situation because I generally open with two Aeolian Edges before my mule casts anything on me. Point is, I pulled 232 currency today duoing with an out of party WHM/THF and it was a bad day.

So just to clarify, you white staggered as the only one locked and the rest were unlocked - were they on the hate list at that point? I'm assuming yes since the other person is engaged.

Is it really worth it to AE proc? The WS proc rate just seems soooo bad compared to JA.

I proc'ed 6 mobs at once earlier today with Aeolian, each dropped 3+ coins.
It is a lower rate of success, but since you're only beating down one mob at a time what we where doing was WSing until one mob proced, then using it as the TP dummy since its purpose was now complete. AE with bullshit knife on NIN was doing 350-400 per trash mob, 5-600 from a THF with a twash. This still takes 5-6 WS's to kill any monster you are not actively beating on, making it more comparable to JA farming and getting more drops at once since you can pull 5-6 mobs at a time, with cordination you can work through the proced ones while letting the AOE WS person continue to dish out the love
