when you're aoe weapon skilling you have equal chance on each mob, I think the chance of proc is 20%? pull a bunch of mobs, and when you proc one or multiple, switch target to the mobs you stagger and build TP and WS on them, I've been doing AoE WS burns in sandy for 2 weeks straight and would walk out of there with 250+ a day with 0 JA mobs proc'd, 300 if the drg NM decided to be nice and put out.

Aeolian Edge does do a fair amount of damage, when I did my sandy cleaves I was using Fell Cleave and pulling mass amounts of mobs with THF/NIN, just kept him phalanx'd and properly buffed didn't have to much of an issue.. until I accidentally pulled a group of IT mobs ^_^;

So I must be doing something wrong, I've been ws'ing these crabs for the past 20 mins with 0 procs. subs all locked, and I got all TE's. I'm sure of it.

Can pull entire families of mobs on BLU with phalanx II support from RDM. I use circle blade while the THF uses cyclone. They hit for 0-9 with -50% pdt, taco, and cocoon. Oh and whirl of rage pwns .

White !!! On a crawler with box step Dnc91/--- during JA proc time in bub for 100 byne.

*All pulls were done with Blm/Rdm, so the locked subjob person doesnt have to be the puller or only person on hate list. In fact Blm was top of hate list when white staggered too.

those of you getting white staggers, were you going out and getting all TE without subjob on?

I had no sub on dnc, sub on blm. Entered both at same time then went and got all 5 TE's on blm (with dnc in pt), before running dnc out to meet me at mob camp

In other words do you only need one person with locked sub in party to get white or do you need that person to make it?

I think so far it's only been seen with the locked person staggering, might need some testing to see whether anyone can stagger it as long as one person in the party has SJ locked.

My guess would be it has to be the person with locked sub, otherwise its open for a huge amount of abuse

I haven't done a formal test (though I've been meaning to), but it feels like there's a pretty huge difference between casting Banishga II once and spamming Dia on all of them. I think you need to individually claim (and perhaps damage) each monster in order to TH it. I'm pretty sure this was the "AoE killing" nerf of yore.

I tested this some months ago. Used Aeolian Edge on mob A, which also hit mob B, with my THF wearing TH+3.
Took off all TH gear, engaged mob B and eventually got a message that my TH had been upgraded to 7.

Basically, WHM/THF using Diaga should be just fine.

If I'm understanding this even if a WS doesn't proc the first time it still has a chance of procing if you use it again on the same mob? I had no idea.

Yes. Unlike abyssea procs, you can spam the same spell/ws/ja on a mob to get a proc if it doesn't work the first time.

If you can do that on BLU, I might try this on a subjobless RDM, using a combo of AEdge and Diaga for WS and Magic staggers.

got m silver from mandy, ws proc, didn't see white !! only had 4 mobs on me... oh and... at 1 min warning, killed 4 mobs i had with no proc, all 4 dropped 1 o bronze....

Tried Qufim today, got shitloads of currency + one white stagger on weapons with aeolian edge DNC+THF burning stuff. Person that staggered white had sub locked and has been fulltime in pt with people sub unlocked.
Did scolopendra and got sea monk venom, usable Rar item O_o anyone knows what effect/use has?

It is used to enfeeble the boss, and likely removes his Auto-Regen. It may also remove some of his elemental resistances, but it's unclear at the moment.

You mean Antaeus or another MegaArchUberBoss popd with tomes of antaeus + other stuff?

The former. The NQ Zone boss of the first three CoP Zones are weakened by items dropped by the free-roaming NMs, locking them in some way. For example, each of the dragons in Buburimu drops a Shadescale item that locks a set of Apocalyptic Beast's TP moves. The beastmen NMs drop a Cagebeast Blood, which locks AB's 2-hr.

This sort of thing carries over to all the first three, by the sound of it, with differing effects.
