I would assume both WS and Magic, the patch content is vague enough to consider both: "- The accuracy of area of effect attacks striking the weak point of a monster that is not being targeted has been reduced in the following zones."

Not when you have a huge train of mobs. I've found spamming sandspin and diaga to be just as effective, if not more so, than using WS. I'm very curious to see if magic is affected. I assume it is, otherwise this nerf is not really a nerf at all imo.

It appears to be all AoEs. The maintenance notes do say all AoEs, it never singled out WSs, and hoping they forgot about spells, I did a group of 8 crabs and spammed the crap out of AoE spells, didn't get a single proc before they died. I used to use Magic AoEs as a backup when stupid Ochain PLDs were cleaving my primary target, and I've never failed to proc at least 2/3thsl of them before Aeolian Edge would kill a group of crabs.

Attack means taking an action against the monster, it means any direct action that would cause a mob to agro.

Why are any of you honestly surprised that was "nerfed"? What part of being able to gather up multiple entire families of mobs and slowly aeolianeding them down for WS proc does NOT sound broken? "BUT YOU NEED AN OCHAIN"...and?

Dont go on the Tanaka rage with pitchforks and shit going "DEVIL DEVIL HE DID IT HE RUINED IT"...it was broken and the fix was due. Be glad you got to take advantage of it while you could, its not like the ja proc rate method is going to fuck you over any less.

So popped Nox Diabolos and it seems to enjoy using Ultimate Terror, Noctoshield and Dream Shroud in quick succession to drain stats and buff himself which then makes removing his phalanx effect that much harder. He shakes off dark-based dispels so pack your finales.

Casts Death randomly and used Kaustra which was innately AOE. Needless to say, it was a wipe.

so what 3 jobs would be good to farm CoP zones for white stagger?
and.. is the difference for coin drops between TH2 (sj), TH3 (bst pet, SJ + TH belt) and th6 (THF main) highly noticeable?

I've done multiple runs with a full TH THF, and some with just Yuly, and to be honest I never really noticed a difference in how many drop as long as there is a proc. I haven't done a run with subjob THF though, so if anyone who has done that can post their results, that would be nice.

BST is good if you're solo, but it can't white proc. Subless DNC would be about the best possible for duoing.

Gonna try farming tonight Ochain PLD, no sub, pulling mobs during proper time for WS, I usually go in with a smallish group (WAR,THF,WHMx3(all mules) gonna see how Flat Blade spam will do in terms of results now -_- I don't really wanna fully gear up my DNC and depend on JA procs... hopefully results will prove to be win >_>

Yes, got one in Dynamis - Qufim yesterday after maintenance. Was triggered by DNC main with no sub. We were getting 3-5 a run and now only got one.

I think they just made it so that any mob that is red to you has good chance to proc now. Me and a bst friend did some tav farming last night and when we fought worms, a few would link like normal. The pet would go off and whack mobs and make the main target we had go white a lot. a good 1/2 the run we spent like 5 mins JA proccing single mobs. Finally we decided to send pet in > once all the links get on pet, heel it to keep main target red. After doing that proccing was back to normal and only took few tries on the rest of the runs.

Honestly, I think that we should all just be happy that they didn't ban people for AoE procing, because shit was a little broken.

I've been trying to do my aegis trial 85 to 90, kill Gaublefaupe 5x, but the pop item for him (despots fortune) just won't drop off of the hydra rdm/pld/wars. I've done two runs now and not a single drop. We've been camping the hydras by Gaublefaupe pop tower. Are we doing something wrong??
