Yeah, stats can aggro by sight from below, and then all the quadavs will link. Best to just keep invisi up full time along with sneak.

I just got 153 solo bst/dnc, using yuli, out of 88 kills. Super gimp bst wearing lvl 75 stuff, some perle and pink. Was duo but dnc died and died again before could re rr;; Friend only got 80 or so, but he was 91 bst, his yuli didn't have th3 I suppose. th3 vs 2 seems to matter alot, or his luck sucked more, proc speed vs drops as well.
Oh, and another test I did before, dnc/ thf/dnc whm/dnc, 18 / 72/ 37 staggers respectively. So, though the no sub dnc can get a white chance, the chance of him procing vs someone with a sub is way low, 18 no sub staggers vs 110 subbed. Going with all unlocked subs seems to be best. Thief/dnc got the most staggers, probably cause I'm tri boxing and I attack first then the mules hit after.
After a month break did my first COP dynamis last night and just wanted to pop in and ask wth I was doing wrong. I ended up at 71 coins which is less than I get in xarc. Several things did hurt my progress that are easy to fix:
1) didn't even think about hippos being truesight until my 2box mage was eating dirt. Probably took 4 minutes from me.
2) Had mule rdm/rng since I had never done the zone and was unsure of how big the spawn areas for TE's were.
3) Everything I fought was EM-T.
The zone was valk. I started with sheep since they were right by the last TE and the time was right for /ja. Then moved just south to treants. Then further south to flytraps. When the time changed over I did hippos then went to gobbues by the outpost. I finished on flytraps. Now other than the gobbues everything I fought was on the west side of the map. I was about 80 minutes into it before I realized I had been chaining the whole time. But even the gobbues and manticores by the outpost were EM-T. And the orcs right by selbina were EM as well. Are there farmable EP nightmare mobs or are they all higher level? Also, how tight are the TE roaming areas? Could I get by going nin/dnc and rdm/thf without tearing my hair out?
I figure there has to be a better farming area because when I went in there were only 2 people in there but half way through there were 23 in the zone and I never saw anyone....
My theory is if you have someone going DNC, you might as well have them go subjobless since they really don't lose that much, and the chance for a white stagger if you get lucky is better than whatever mild gains they might get from having a subjob. Other than that, just have a subjob on and kill more/faster/with more TH depending on setup and get a higher average of coins, which should win out in the end.
Subbing WAR gets you a pulling mechanism and another 30 second JA proc, so I think that's the biggest competitor for Dancer.
Only the Goblin TE('s if the 20min one is goblin) make my wish I had widescan since they are so spread out compared to the Orcs, Yagudo, and Quadavs.
I've always stuck to the EP on the east side of zone.
Now for my own questions I guess.
My current set up is a triboxed MNK/DNC, BRD & WHM with my cousin dualboxing THF/DNC and a WHM. The MNK has leveled and is gearing DNC to go in subless DNC for chance at white procs. I'm a bit concerned about losing kill speed so I'm thinking of having the BRD level BST. That would give me widescan and TH if my cousin isn't available. Thoughts?
It doesn't. 1% chance at a 100 piece won't beat subbing warrior for increased kill speed and an increase in average coins. I went for a week subless with 0 procs. Since I started subbing warrior I'm averaging almost 40 more coins per run. The added kill speed really does matter more than you'd think.
Eh, 1% chance at a 100 is an average of +1 coin per proc. The problem is that it may be below a 1% proc rate. I have only seen one in over 500 procs, which doesn't "prove" anything but isn't very encouraging. I'm sure there are people out there with five procs in 200 staggers to balance me out though.
Your data is one proc...? You could be 1/1, 1/60, 1/999. Doesn't mean anything.
My theory is why bring a DNC to dynamis in the first place? You might as well bring an actual DD. This statement has nothing to do with the DD potential of DNC. I'm just saying that VS EP mobs, there are much better job choices.
Usually go DNC THF, both subjobless (probably because the only times I've gone THF with a SJ, I failed to get a white, buton every run bar 1, I've scored at least 1 White). Usually get 180-220 coins a run dual-boxing both, and then the white proc on top. There are a variety of other combinations I could use on both characters, but this works for me at the moment. Best run I did, I saw 2 White and came away with 415 (and then could have gotten more because I afk'd for the last 20 minutes).
Sometimes shit puts out, other times it doesn't. It's all luck. Worst run I've had, killing at the same speed, put me at 131; Sometimes you get mobs that just will not proc, or when they have they only drop 1-2 coins with TH6-7, and you go a full family like that, shit just hurts your count. Other times you can get 3-4 constantly. In Valk though, Hippo>Gobb>Fung all Paralyze, and when that Para proc's on your JAs it really, really slows killspeed. All mobs have something that fucks you up - Crabs have that Phys def JA, Mandies have Nightmare-type Dream Flower, Scorps have that long-proc stunga move. Don't know much about Qufim, haven't done a single run there.
"We", sure, but there is just me, dual-boxing. I'll try your setup Thursday and get back to you on it.
Edit: That'd involve me leveling BLU some point over the next 2 days... Which is like, impossible. Stupid Work and Uni >o
I wish to understand the 37 pages of this thread, which I have read from time to time, but not from start to finish. I am seeing these reports of 100+ coins per run and interested if I am willing to go through the pain to do a relic horn for mule. Let me make sure I understand some points.
1. Each zone has TE. Killing all 5 TE increases the rate that you can proc mobs.
2. Mobs that are proc'd have a higher chance of dropping currency. Although it can happen without TE or without procs, simply far more rarely.
3. AF drops like candy and should be treated like flint stones it is now so common.
4. Procs depend on jobs of the mob you are fighting, i.e. magic will proc some mobs but not others, /ja some different mobs, etc.
5. You can proc the same mob multiple times.
6. Procs are nothing like Abyssea, don't even bother.
Please let me know if any of the above statements are incorrect, misunderstood, or partially true.
I have questions:
1. If dual-boxing for currency and wanting to work on stage 5 first (because I can, that's why), which requires 10k shells, should I farm Windy or a CoP zone, and why?
2. Should I simply camp somewhere with some mobs I can kill (After getting TE), or roam?
3. In the above scenario, using a thief main and whm mule, what would be your recommendation for farming shells? Thief has all normal subs, whm has an eclectic variety of subs.
What should I know that I haven't asked?
fml wrong thread
5. is incorrect
here a link for "weakness targeting" , tells you about all you need to know

few months ago i started on Aegis, with same concept in mind, started first on O.bronze, since i'd need the most of it, would average 150+ coins in Sandy(done all 4 cities average about the same), 202 singles was my record, also got 2 m silvers once, which are really rare, making my record 330-340~ (don't remember) for sandy
In cop dyn i average 370+ single coins a run, that's 120-130 coins per currency~
still in experimenting stages here, but coin/gil wise, cop wins hands down
i just need 30 m silvers now to get my shield, any ideas on farming one type of currency? heh i guess you could trade or sell then buy
i dual box too
i'd use thf/dnc and whm/dnc for JA procs and melee on both, someone in thread said that he was getting 1100+ hexa strike (lolwhm)
i'm also considering using my whm as melee/proc'er
for one, i never cast shadows on my Nin, for 2 i hardly ever heal, and refresh from gear keeps mp capped
try a few runs, see how it works for you
Yeah was me who suggest whm/dnc lol. Can buff, reraise if shit happens, and most important gives out haste. Mystic boon if low on mp, does like 320 dmg so better than refresh from /rdm. Works out great. If mule had better gear and better hammer (movla or moepapa) prob do even more dmg.
Been testing using bst instead of whm for faster kills. Makes for easier TE killing as well. Blue mage seem pretty strong too, doing 1200 delta thrusts and up to 2k heavy strikes at will. Sudden lunge great to make stuff never able to fight too. Got to 160 kills today, but only 310 coins. But this was a fuckup with a missed TE and one of the mules crashing twice. Should have gotten 350+ i'm sure.
Definately try to have all able jobs /dnc to proc.
Instead of thief, bst/dnc seems to be stronger. I didn't notice much difference from th3 vs th7. Bst pets hit way hard, cause you are fighting EP mobs. DipperYuli can triple attack for 300 dmg a hit etc.
