So did I read something wrong or can BST/DNC solo Lost Fairy Ring with Yuly?
So did I read something wrong or can BST/DNC solo Lost Fairy Ring with Yuly?
When I've done Valkurm farm for coins there's was sometimes some BSTs around doing Lost Fairy Ring. Seen it duoed certainly, can't comment on any solo attempts.
Shouldn't really be any overcrowding issues. There's 3 different CoP zones (discounting Tav). Just do a search before you enter, and go to the one with less people, Walla!
Have to admit, I haven't been to Qufim yet, but Valkurm and Bubu are fairly similar. We just go to the zone with less people.
well the cat's out of the bag, all areas (excluding BCD) are 10+ full time...
so i wanted to ask people about Dynamis etiquette~?
are you guys "nice" to others? like if someone has hate on multiple mobs but are unlclaimed and no other mobs of same family are up... what do you do?
i had one jp pld/thf pull half family of rabbits and mandies during the JA proc, and started A.edge them in the corner, i started picking mobs off him
lol got a lot in reply , too bad i can't read japanese...
yesterday had heavy competition too, group of BST zoned in after me, we're running around, claiming mobs as soon as they pop, then i see one bst is holding 2 mobs, and using pet's AoE ws to proc them both, i get one and kill it, and yet again ... a bunch of people are disappointed, thou this time it's ok 'cause i done it to enertia, who is known for cheating, stealing and lieing
but the point is, after 1-2 years of abyssea, having no run ins with anyone, biggest issue was having people pop NMs without a line, ones or twice
here i'm having some kind of an issue every other day
lol is my reputation going to worsen 'cause of this O.o?
(not that i have much of it, since i solo all the time, lol)
Yellow is yellow.
However, if people are nice to me, I'll be nice to them, generally, but if you have several on you and there are no others up, you bet your ass I'll take one of yours. If you have a yellow one and other mobs of the same family are up, I'll usually just take them. I've seen the same courtesy from other people, generally, too. Nothing to get angry about, and I haven't had anyone get shitty with me about it yet.
If you're taking all the mobs, then yeah I'm gonna claim some. If you give me shit for it, I'll aoe your hard work.
All COP zones can support 2-3 groups since there are multiple camps. Tav is the only exception where it can only support 1 group. What I do before my group enters is search all 4 zones and see how many are in each zone. The zone that has the least is the one we go to. However if all zones have 8+ we just default to tav. If Tav has a group in it, I send a tell to party leaders in zones seeing how long they have left.
On Asura, there are a handful of jp players that will do whatever they want. If its yellow they will take it. If its procced they will vulture over it and wait for it to go unclaimed. Those are the types of players that we will steal their stuff since they do it to us. But generally if someone is minding their own business and gets a few mobs on them, we wont take any mobs.
Wouldn't feel bad about anything to do with Enertia. As far as dealing with competition, it is what it is. To me, it seems like more work to attempt picking off mobs from a group rather then finding a different camp.
My group of 3 just started doing dynamis last week. We've read about people getting 300+ coins duo or trio or w/e. We have went bst/bst/thf in Bubu and got around 180 coins. Went bst/bst/sch in Valk and got 231. Last night, just 2 of us in X as Bst and Thf. Got 113 coins. We haven't been trying NMs yet. We're just trying to get aquainted with the zones, mob placement, etc. We've done X twice now and no Thf hands yet but 2 D. Chaps, which sucks because no one wanted the 2nd but all 3 of us would like Thf hands.
My feelings on etiquette is that, if there's another camp that I can move between, I generally leave a group alone. Reason being is that in most cases, my group of three (BST/DNC, BST/DNC, DNC/X) usually runs out of mobs of a family as long as procs aren't stubborn (See: spending nearly two minutes spamming steps and flourishes with no luck), and as a result, having less mobs due to competing creates a shortage and would cause us to lose out in the long run. Since we've moved to Valkurm it's not so much of an issue but for the most part we try and be careful not to step on toes and in turn cut our own profits.
However, if people are nabbing mobs off of me, then damn straight I'm going to take some back.
The only time I've really had problems in Dyna was when you could still AOE stagger, we had entered, then like half an hour later a group of JP's entered, and they would pull non-ws proc mobs on top of the mobs we were trying to WS proc, attempting to MPK us. Other then that, never really had problems. When it comes to Bynes time, I got no problems farming Orcs during that time either.
I generally don't take someones mobs unless it's someone I hate, because I don't want them to take my mobs. In my experience, people rarely take your white mobs unless you do something to make them worth taking.
Competition hasn't been a severe problem for me on Fenrir yet. My LS runs the same schedule it's always run (twice a week). There was this one time in Tav where an LS (led by some guy who had been in our LS until he got PUP cape about a year ago... come to think of it, there's hardly any endgamer on this server who hasn't been in Trutle at one point or another...) was also attempting 2nd tier diabolos at the same time as us (both groups failed, that crap is hard to lowman), but they were polite about it, and we made efforts to stay on different targets than them. We managed 2x Nox failures that night... not really sure what they managed, but we cleared all sorts of crap off their corpses when they were attempting timestones.
Back on topic though, what sort of strategies work on the neobosses? We attempted CC(not ACC) the other night, and she used fragrant breath as soon as we popped before I could even use my enfeebling items. We still won, but that was an outright kick in the pants, and we were out of time afterwards. I can't find any decisive info on whether the enfeebling items work on Arch bosses, anyways. PD zerg doesn't seem like it would work since she'd just charmga and waste its duration. PD plus chainstun, maybe?
PD protects from charm, I did CC two weeks ago and Fragrant Breath entirely missed with it. We haven't even used the enfeebling items. However, Stun is still good to have for EBB.
Yeah, from what I've heard, PD doesn't work on any form of death... but also from what I've heard, it doesn't work on any form of charm... I could be completely wrong on that though, I don't have any info to back it up... Is mostly just from info I've heard about chivalry not working on various forms of charm, though I'm recently hearing chivalry DOES work on some charms. Would be kinda depressing if the same tactic that works on city bosses (PD zerg) also works on CoP bosses, but meh, whatever gets my LS the gear they want.
Can't remember if we used PD but we sure as hell got charmed. Still killed the boss somehow lol, with blm nukepower .
I couldn't see a solo Thf/Dnc pulling in 200 coins in CoP.
Are there any updated Dynamis map .DATs floating around anywhere? For that matter any detailed updated map dats?
Thanks for the help.
I get gooks coming and trying to shit on my camp all the time, pulling mobs off my pull when others are up etc. They don't like it when I take their procd mobs cause they haven't learned to BST yet.
I'm really not a fan of the non-instanced dyna though. I think they could have easily allowed the zone to be instanced and doable everyday.
I dunno if this thread or RQT would be best for my question but:
Is trying to white proc even worth it or don't bother?
I duo with my wife.
