General Update Changes (May-09-11)

Im using +2 gloves and its always TH3 base

i have tried boosting it to +4 tho and then mob die before i can add on further

however, my pocket proc war is sj thf + dread atma so its default 3, my bounty shot will only add on to make it +4. max i managed to raise is +5 too before mob/nm dies :X there can be "no effect" in between but im sure you can raise it ABOVE EXISTING TH by +2 at least from my personal experience

likewise, idk if another rng can raise it further

Obviously theres only one thing to do:
Run a script that will use Bounty Shot until I run out of ammo and see what level of TH exists after 120 Bounty Shots. If the previous statement is true, and my previous "no effects" were infact the fail messages, then at some point after the first two bounty shots (with AF3+2 gloves), I should wind up with additional +1's.

Also going to do it in a shadowreign area to make sure that TH Kupower isnt in effect.

TH Kupower doesnt seem to play a role, unless you need signet for it to take effect, because with AF3+2 gloves, TH started at 3 with bounty shot. Second shot was no effect though...looking bad for me! Next two also missed, looking bad for you guys! Just got it to 4...uhoh


Well I lost, but this is hardly a convenient way to raise TH...I've gone thru 50 arrows (therefor 50 minutes and 50 attempts) and I went from 3 to 8. 40 arrows later and I'm still at 8.

Wrong. Artisans Advantage only requires advanced support, and quickening you just need to rest, etc. The only two they require it are Treasure Hound and Martial Master.

In which case..for reference when I was dong my tests on the gobs and bats in Sauro, signet was NOT active. I know because I never get signet lol. Andjust so no one thinks im crazy (moreso then the popular belief is), I was editing my previous post as data was coming in.

so it seems Bounty without AF3+2 starts at +2, and with starts at +3.

Wait, what? You THed something with a WAR/THF with Dread (TH2 trait, TH level 3 debuff) and then Bounty Shot it with AF3+2 hands to push it to TH level 6 Debuff in one shot?

i miss a few before i finnally get 3 in. Was helping carabosse while skilling up marksmanship so i have time to shoot THAT MUCH bounty shots XD

friend sick of TH lvl 10 and still get 1 gem, so instead of wasting time to change job, kill cara, change job again to proc NM, we decided to fuck it and use Th3 base

7 gems in 4 carabosse, not too shabby i guess XD

anyway someone told me in order for you to use tonberry grudge, you have to be BLU and set it to ur blu magic

Some guy thinks the "Tonberry's Grudge" on the neck is activated by being a BLU with Everyone's Grudge set.

Actually, I think he means you equip the collar, causing a new spell, "Tonberry's Grudge", to appear in the blue magic menu that you can set and use, similar to how twilight cloak lets you cast "Impact" when equipped.

Whether it actually does this, I don't know, but that's how i read it.

Nothing in the magic list or ability on POLUtis shows anything called "Tonberry's Grudge".

Could be perhaps that he means it effects the Everyone's Grudge spell a BLU can cast.
