[Proc]1 is a NQ proc (normal vulnerability), [Proc]3 is n HQ proc (highly vulnerable), [Proc]5 is extreme (white) proc; or at least they are on my server. You may also see some JPs use [Proc]!, [Proc]!!!, [Proc]!!!!!. When you see something like DRK JA1, it means that the proc is Weapon Bash (because its the only JA they can use for procing), and that the 1 means its a NQ proc.
I have been in JP groups where members used to use !, !!!, and !!!!! to describe the weaknesses. I assume this was shortened to 1, 3, and 5 for convenience. You can use the auto-translator and this system to communicate weaknesses to any nationality, so I started using it too.
Would be hard to completely generalize.
Over TPing benefits all the heavy DDs WSs, so Tact is either helping you hit 100tp or helping WS damage.
Chaos vs fighters depends on your jobs and buffs and players. My guess is you'll end up Mizer/Tact 95% of the time, since most VW is pickup and most pickup resist trying new stuff.
I usually don't bother asking for it in pickups to avoid getting into retarded arguments with pros and such, but the JP pickups I do almost exclusively use Miser's/Chaos, and sometimes Miser's/Fighters. I usually parse every fight I DD on and so far the JP runs have come out ahead vs the NA runs. It could also be because I remain hasted in JP parties, but I usually go on SAM and WS Average/Frequency is a better indication of damage being dealt.
I suppose using 300TP wings to get up Lv3 Aftermath, and using /War with Last Stand could be good. After I finish up Exenterator and 5/5 Last Stand I guess I'll parse myself against the same VW with both setups. Maybe just parse for a set period of time like 3 minutes.
Actually, I have decent Store TP gear from Rng, maybe I should look at 5hitting /war with chaos/misers.
Want to try this out now actually, and if I'm ditching tacticians altogether I could make a few TP set variations for different levels of misers roll, and use whatever depending on the roll amount... ooh I'm getting all excited. Afk, Store TP calulations.
When VW first came out, people were getting 40% procs and 200% procs. At the time people didn't know that procing dirty (during TP or spell casting) would cause a normal and strong stagger to be double the amount. So they assumed there was a glitch and 2 and 4 procs didnt show in chat log so thats why they called it 1 and 3.
Actually I asked about this my JP friend like 2 months ago and he said that 1,2 and 3 are just from the number of "!" they getting with stagger hint. They have nq hint with "!" at the end. "!!!" at the end of hq and "!!!!!" at the end of the white hint so I have no idea where Jornna got his info.
From Japanese people I did voidwatch with on my server.
Because its the same for everyone right?
And I don't really think there are different number of !.
Pretty random question, but we still have no third drop for Rw Nw Prt M Hrw. Does he just have a higher drop rate on scrolls or something?
All I've ever seen is people talk about cor/blm/smn for Rex, but it's more than possible to do it with just 2 WARs as main DD. The only thing we do differently is add a second COR in the main DD party.
Parse of one of our 4 Rex fights tonight:
Spoiler: show
Just wanted to share our experience, every fight is basically < 3min, unless something goes terribly wrong.
I want to assume the smite person was either a pup or fapping
Any details on your fight? Buffs used, etc.
Chaos/Fighter's/Miser/Tact for the 4 rolls. The main DD party was CORx2 WARx2 WHM and BRD, 2nd party was tank, 3rd was procers.
The fight itself is basically fana zerg til 70% and chainspell -> fool's and zerg til that wears -> re-fana and usually dead by the time that wears. Last 30% stunners stun every TP move to avoid charm.
Not done it as linkshell yet, but around 0/8 doing it as pickups. Keeping it staggered as much as possible and keeping fanatics refreshed seems to be the key to it.
If DDs don't have fanatics then they will likely be dead very soon, biggest cause of death was always HP down > -ja spell immediately after. For a PLD if shit goes wrong you really need Aegis, Ochain PLDs just die far too quickly without fanatics drink, although saying that the Ochain PLDs I've come across I doubt even know what an MDT set is.
