It isn't as bad as most, if not all, of the gear from Legion. Literally the only reason I can think of even entertaining the idea of entering Legion is to get the items required to augment the cursed gear that you get from Voidwatch...

some nice leg/hand type stuff and a really good coronarch body but yeah.
Toci's Harness has a retarded daughter and after locking her in the basement renamed it Porthos Byrnie.
Got supernal abjuration: hands from the imp in zhayolm. Says it's for uncursing the hexed tekko.
I just deleted my Bismark parse ><
Seems to have very very high Def and PDT. The highest Average WS was WF at 16xx. I was sitting on 1700+ attack and averaging 1400 Catas including using SE. As posted before it could have high Def and TP based PDT. Fire spells also did good against him. The other thing to note is he is as evasive as Ig, most DDs were parsing 60-70% ACC and the only two that were capped were me and another Apoc DRK.
Spoiler: show
in regards to bismarck, we just engaged it like it was botulus, as our wildfire cors were doing pretty consistant dmg (2600~). towards the end, 30%-0%, it felt like everyone was doing next to no damage (yet we had full temps, was proc locked from like 80-0%)-- I gotta ask my CORs later if they suffered from dmg penalty, though I feel like they did too. Even with all sorts of buffs my wses were barely going over 300 dmg in the last stretch, and for the lulz I popped a few herc slashes for about 300-400 dmg each.
it was also pretty late to get a handle on what could be causing it, but i can tell you that killing some of the adds (killed maybe 5) did nothing as far as we can see. he does however do a move called Echolocation which may be a hint of sorts, as I don't recall it doing any damage.
The mage gear in Legion seems better than the melee gear. They added some great pieces for SMN that haven't been discovered yet, so I'm assuming Legion. I didn't correlate each of the sets with the DATs saying "LEGION HEAD", "LEGION BODY" etc, but speaking specifically of the Iaso/Auspex sets and some of the accessories. I think there is a Meteor body in there too, not sure.
I imagine melee will mostly want to do Legion for the abjuration items along with a couple interesting sidegrades.
Putting my bullshit cap on, but here's what I find for a definition of Echolocation:
Now, we know FFXI does calculate distance via comparisons of the XYZ points. Question is, if distance somehow correlates to this TP move, what is it comparing to?the general method of locating objects by determining the time for an echo to return and the direction from which it returns, as by radar or sonar.
A) It's spawn point?
B) Distance from current target?
C) Distance from furthest person on enmity list?
D) Distance from closest add?
E) Distance from furthest add?
F) Some combination/average of distances of people on the enmity list?
G) Some combination/average of all living pets?
H) Averages of F and G?
If distances are a factor, then when it comes to qualifying the above, does it translate to more defense the closer something is, or more defense if it's further away? I'm curious where you guys who've fought it have been handling the adds. Would also be interesting to try the fight with mainly ranged damage to try and rule out party influence. I can't recall if someone's mentioned how add hate works, though, which could complicate trying to solidify their location if Echolcation is a TP/scripted move somehow related.
/bullshitcapoff
we fought it literally like 10' away from where the pld was holding adds, the whole battle. pdt got so bad around 30% that most dds even fully decked out with JAs, cor buffs and food were barely breaking 500 dmg most of the time
what was your ranger doing?
Did anyone go back to Pashhow (S) (being sufficiently far along the Jeuno storyline) and try trading a crystal petrifact to the Conflux there? The quest description for "Glimmer of Hope" is...
"Rumors tell of crystalline stones obtainable from the corpses of fallen Voidwalkers. Should you happen upon any, seek out Kupofried in the Pashhow Marshlands for answers."
I'm sure eventually we will run into a dead end because Provenance isn't in the game yet, but this at least sounds like it might be completable?
2k Last Stands with normal buffs. 1.5k Coro's w/ 99Anni and this is with Flashy shot 5/5 http://www.gwcdn.com/albums/images/4...2c75000ecb.jpg
I went to the Pashow (S) Crystal, Sauromugue (S) door, WoE Crystal in Xarcabard (S), went inside WoE etc. tried trading to every one of those as well as a few seperate voidwatch officers even looking for more info from those but nothing
I think the quest is incomplete right now and all you can do is stockpile.
Had a friend who bought all 3 of the KI from an officer before realising they did nothing and I didn't hear of him having any better results.
^agreed. although damage was pretty normal off the bat as a melee, it only dropped the longer the battle went on. was that last stand doing similarly high damage later in the fight?
Like I said earlier, Ragnarok DRK damage was hardly bad on this. Didn't parse but I'll check logger for my WS damage. My Resolution was doing over 2k every time except when he had his PDT spikes, and I never saw a wildfire for less than 2k. Berserk/Last resort/Red curry/Chaos roll/stalwarts/Tachi ageha/Dia2.
Ok so, Toucan Sam in Mamook - how to handle the adds? He can certainly pop more than 2 btw.
Mhmm Only did him twice but it seemed he only popped adds when he ate someones food. Other than that we just killed the adds as they popped and had whoever had hate hold the main bird till the add was dead
I wish, but nobody in the group I'm in atm used food at all, and he had 5 adds out at one point. :/
