So, I ask this knowing what I have read from the posts pages back. I run a group which has downed everything in our path but Botulus Rex. The DD setup I've seen suggested ended in horror. Is a Mage setup much more viable? Is there room at all for the 2 or three members that don't have blm Cor or whm

Any help with this would be appreciated. I know B.Rex is a bag of cheap tricks. I just don't want to send an entire linkshell to slaughter.

BLMs with good Lightning Atmas and acc atmas + Wildfire CORs.

The time I won 12x in a row with a pickup had I think:

2 WAR
1 NIN
2 BLU
1 WHM
1 BRD
1 SAM
7 BLM
3 COR

We would open with Ukko > Ukko with Thundaja bursting to take it to ~80% (all have fanatics up at this point). Hopefully a proc happens right after this. and you push it down to 65-70%. Use fools towards the end of the proc, since it will CS when it unlocks. While trying to proc you should be nuking fulltime and spamming meds.

Free stuns are key. BLMs should NEVER have their stun timer up.

Think we did 30/32 that way. I've never seen it done with BLM's, but DD power (if they are good) far surpasses BLM/COR damage. I know when it was released it was beaten in a majority COR/BLM setup with DD's as procs only.

Lowest we got was to 40% on four attempts. Had the group ride fanatics and at cs ride fools. I don't know if the issue was that the dd's weren't strong enough, all used ukkon masamune apocalypse and kannagi blms were our top four doing good damage.

Could've been bad luck on procs but that is why I've considered more blms my solution.

If you rotated the BRDs yeah your DD's were weak, the NIN doesn't belong in the DD party though. It's in the BLM party to proc, each DD party needs WHM COR BRD and DRK, the other two slots are WAR/MNK and SAM to proc. SAM is no where near as strong as WAR/DRK/MNK in this fight.

I was doing some t3 runs on my mule and i've noticed that I can only get Seductive petrifact atm. I'm not sure but I think that you need a t1~4 city for each petrifact. I currently only have sandy and TAU complete on my mule. If it merely required KI that wasnt a pop item I'd have gotten one. Sample size of around 24 runs. will be 26 after this ahkvan run is done.

Can anyone confirm or reject this theory that Meteor drops off certain Voidwatch fights? I've heard varying reports that this is the case but I'm not sure if they all spread from one initiating rumor or whether it's legitimate.

A member of the t2 TAU fight claimed he got meteor from it. Arthur was his name if you want to bug him.

I've heard that it comes from T3 Zilart, T6 Jeuno, and T2 Aht Urhgan/Tavnazia. I've heard a lot of accounts at this point so there would have to be a lot of people messing with us.

I've seen no proof of Meteor (or Arise for that matter) dropping from any vwnm at all. Nor have I actually heard/seen anyone claim "I got it from vwnm". In fact, I have yet to hear about anybody obtaining either scroll. So until I see some proof, I don't believe they drop from vwnm at all.

Ignore the comments, just pointing at the basars. I think with how much ppl spam VW, there would be way more. I'd rather say that maybe something in Legion drops it. Is Ragnarok Legion loving or something?


No arises around, it's a good bet that for one Arise comes from the Crystal Dragon as well as the Sphere: Autoreraise Atmacite. Seems to be a matching theme.

I doubt any of those people actually have the scroll tbh. Seen no proof of a drop anywhere.

Those bazaars mean nothing, none of them have been scanned by GW. Anyone can put anything they like in ffxiah bazaar, doesn't mean they actually have the item. In fact, my bet is that none of those people actually have a scroll of Meteor for sale.

I'm hesitant to believe that it's from Voidwatch because you'd think there'd be more than a few whispers here and there about it, but I suppose it could be possible and very rare.

The one guy on Valefor who has it in Bazaar on FFXIAH has also claimed he sold a Meteor scroll on the day the update went live for 40M, and noone has even mentioned anything of either of the scrolls since then. I'm calling bullshit on the Arise/Meteor from old VWNM until i see some actual proof. My bet is on Provenance as well.
