That sucks, I know it makes no difference being in pool or chest(other then the chance of many more through chests) but just the thought of going back to lotting 5 vs 17 others and the winner always being the teal MAB staff blm is just sickening. Not to mention all 17 having blm or pld or w/e job mysteriously leveled .

I think its a positive. The Mob drops his drops, and also drops from the Box.

Essentially, You have a way to spread the love to those with bad luck if it drops from the mob, but everyone still gets their own Loot pool with the same drops possible.

Am i seeing that right?

If the box has the same items that drop directly off the mob, sure. If not, freelotting meteor vs 17 other people will be annoying.

If the shield dropped from the "box thing" and there's an SS of it dropping from the dragon, it's probably safe to assume that they have very similar drop tables.

I'm a bit confused about the corundum. So there is a 24 hour wait after your initial one you get, does that mean every 24 hour he stocks 1 for you and you can trade in 4x of petrifact for more?

Yes, operates exactly as voidstones on a 24h timer, except only for petrifact BC's, and 4 Crystal petrifacts = 1 conrundum-dust

Yeah, it is a bit inconsistent. I look forward to doing it with LS where people would spend DKP on it at least and evade that very possibility. Would suck in PUGs if Meteor is direct drop only.

Just to clarify something that was said earlier that wasn't true; its "insta-cast" spells like Silencaga + Holy 2 will pop fetters; we ended up filling our alli with like 7 or 8 pickups since only 10 of us had access and had low % issues multiple times. Once procs came to a stand still (this is the issue with going with any pickups at all), fetters started to overwhelm us with "insta-cast" spells that are rather difficult to Stun. That being said; I'm not sure if Addle was up or even sticks; but overall the fight is really easy just as long as you have good procers and Stuns on the easy to catch spells. If we actually had procs the last 40%, it would've gone down easily both times.

I saw a wind one pop today right after silencega so maybe it's just a chance on enfeebs or low HP only that enfeebs also get fetters, but I'm 99% sure a wind fetter popped up right after silencega.

Got a kill on Asura today, no screenshots because I don't normally think to take screenshots, but staff dropped in pool, and I only got ram skins and logs from chest.

And the reraise atmacite, and the -4 hour recharge periapt, and the third emergence periapt.
