The first wave drops are definite trash, although I sold a Hearty Earring (the stat resistance earring) for LS which at least pays for 9-10 runs for 10 minutes of work! Depending on where each piece drops, a LS could probably just focus on those chambers that have stuff people want. I don't even see it as a level of readiness, I literally see the event as next to impossible to clear in its current state barring Meteor tricks.

Not sure I agree with you Rearden, sorry, otherwise stuff like Novio Earring would have never had a market. There are plenty of mage min/maxers (yer talking to one!). And they aren't all mage pieces.

I don't see the event as being all that popular, but 30 minutes of work for some of the stuff I listed above (assuming the event is adjusted) is not going to be a concern for LS's. Not like Provenance Watcher or Nyzul can be spammed.

The following issues have been addressed:

- An issue wherein the weaknesses of the pet and automaton summoned by the key item ‘Periapt of Sapience’ are displayed incorrectly during the final chapter of Voidwatch.

- An issue wherein an enemy’s weakness cannot be triggered using Libra in Voidwatch.

- An issue wherein Shara’s Fists can sometimes be obtained from the monster Paramount Botulus that appears in Legion.

This sort of indirectly tells me that they drop from VW for sure, even though doubts to that were pretty slim to begin with.

Isn't A'as Circlet best BLM nuking headpiece then? I don't play BLM so I sincerely don't know, but I assumed any BLM would want it. I haven't seen reports of it dropping from Provenance Watcher, so I just assumed Legion.

Thing with sea was there were more pieces to get than just the Novio, which gave people some bit of motivation to get a JoL pop. Legion has a handful that I can think of off the top of my head that are, right now in this day and age, worth the effort:reward cost, and those are for a select few jobs.

Fjalar was driving me nuts at one point. Pug after pug and wipe after wipe, even with embrava (and PD too, if I remember right), the lowest any pug I joined ever got it to was 33%. Then my ls finally gets around to doing Tav path and we go 1/1 with less than a full alliance. Go figure.

It is the best, but could be argued sidegrade over Nares/Nares+set. Ignoring the difficulty to obtain Nares in the first place.

Are we using the term sidegrade in the same way? Sidegrade to me means something like Iaso Boots for WHM, which has movement speed +12% AND cure pot. Both stats can be easily achieved with other items. The Iaso Boots are a "sidegrade" to me (barring any augments from the Legion item).

A'as Circlet has INT 5, M.Acc 10, MAB 6, Magic Crit hit rate + 10%.
Nares Cap has INT 12, MAB 5, Magic crit hit rate + 5%. Set would add some INT, assuming a BLM would nuke in multiple Nares.

Same caveat, I don't play BLM but I don't view A'as as a sidegrade.

That maintenance is interesting to me. Hm, where in VW could Shara's Fists/Girru drop then? That and the NQ/HQ wind aura katana (Ikarigiri) are undiscovered.

So does luck. Had plenty of competent groups fail hard repeatidly to that chair due to it just being crappy and not getting lucky. As have countless other people.

And to add to novio discussion I would say part of the reason for the market wasn't just that it was best in slot but the fact that nothing else even came close for a long time.

As for legion, all what it needs is the ability to spend the points on HQ dynamis currency, Heavy Metal Plates, rift items, and alex pouches to make it great. I personally would much rather do legion for alex/dynamis currency/heavy metal, than spam salvage/dynamis/vwnm.

I'd infer the opposite.

The fact that the NQ fists were in Legion to begin with tells me they're intended for this event but just not intended for Para-Rex (there are 6 Paramount bosses in the dats.)

Not to mention neither the NQ Katana or punchers have been seen despite groups spamming the Caturae this week (the last VW content they'd drop from) for dragon access.

Aura weapon NQ counterparts are commonplace enough I'd think by the end of the weekend we can rule them out from the final chapter loot table.

I don't dispute that Dasva. My point above was merely that there are plenty of career mage min/maxers. It is true most of those are in the BLM camp because they like seeing pretty damage numbers, but I'm a WHM/SMN one myself who tries to eke out the best Boost/Barspells and avatar damage I can (inb4 lolsmn ).

I view sidegrade as something like, Mekira Mekogai vs the body that is +13 to stats and -8DT

Or Hecate's / Novio vs Hecates / Moldavite.

Using a lame base damage of say 1500 for a given ThunderV, 110MAB, 8Magic Crit

A's:5*2.299*2.16=24+4=29
Nares:12*2.299*2.15=59+8=67

A's:5*2.299*2.26*0.18=4
Nares:12*2.299*2.25*0.13=8

If I fucked that up please tell me because that would be the first time I ever mathed out a spell, lol.

I can neither confirm or deny those numbers lol. I don't really know how to math out a spell either, and I don't know how the 7+ extra INT from Nares compares to the +10 M.Acc and increase in 5% for Crit from A'as.

Actually, now that you mention it we went 1/2 but that was only because noone mentioned having holy waters ready - which I take the brunt of the blame for since I've attempted this nm so many times and for the majority of the people present it was their first attempt. Once we had that sorted we won without much difficulty. Especially compared to the pugs I've joined for this win, when - as mentioned - not even embrava and PD made any difference.

I'm taking it this was only due to them adding it in as a trigger for Provenance?

It never showed messages for me period throughout all of VW up till now.

Yeah, i don't know the whole story since i wasnt there, just i got a bunch of tells from lots of people talking about like a 1 min wipe and stuff. Not like im helping though since im on break for a few more weeks cuz of work
